Customer Reviews

Great but with concerns

Have had BusyCal long time, love it, great app. Trouble is, it seems to take an informed and concerted effort for iCloud to not gather info I do not want floating around in any freakin’ cloud! One can turn it off in Preferences, but then iCloud DELETES all your BusyCal entries On Your Mac and the BusyCal ‘backups’ won’t work without iCloud unless you go through time consuming set ups and Apple defeats necessary to ’save’ On Your Mac and iCloud have no access. It seems to me, Apple tries to “marry” everything to Apple/App Store, meaning they get a cut and the consumer has info floating in cyberspace whether they want it to be there, or not. I truly believe BusyCal is a fantastic calendar but wish they were a stand alone 3rd party vendor and would get away from Apple/App Store. There is WAY too much personal, private, confidential (if there is such a thing anymore) floating out there and it’s never eraseable. I’m not paranoid, just very concerned for personal rights, freedoms, and ‘choice’. App Store is 180 off this way of thinking.

Angry and very disappointed

To the president of BusyCal

I have used your product for many years and have enjoyed using it. I AM ANGRY that I have no choice but to RE-PURCHASE your software. You have completely LOST my confidence in your product and your brand. TODAY, I have no choice because of the time to relearn a new software application and lose of productivity. BUT KNOW THIS… I will never buy another product from your company. NO loyal customer should have to RE-PURCHASE an application and pay FULL PRICE for a software update - NEVER. If I had the time I would research and purchase a new application. I would not trust the company EVER.

I hope you bank account is HUGE…. because your brand value, brand trust and brand loyalty is ZERO.

Just like the old iCal

This program reminds me of the old good iCal which had many of these features. I particulary like the “filters” which allow you to change to preset calendars. This is the best calendar I could find!
