Danger: Gimmic and “tease” to upgrade AND can’t delete app!

We took the bait due to all possitive ratings. Then we found this application REQUIRES a committment for a year and huge monthly fee if we wished to have Word shortcut availability! Then we looked for the three star rating and IT WAS NOT LISTED OR SHOWN!!! Then we realized we were “had” by the baiting game of the 7 positive ratings. Then we tried to delete the software and found that was not possible…Of course, this author, the ripoff artist, will say if you had drilled down for more detail, we would have found the price and the “need” to upgrade to have Word shortcuts…etc. Do not download! no way to uninstall this application…WATCH OUT.

promising app

this app is well designed and easy to use. The supported apps are limited, and It requires additional purchaces in order to support apps like word and photoshop… Since I am a designer I am hoiping he will expand into Illustrator and other Adobe softwares.

it is a great start for an ap but it still needs to do some expanding in order to be a better app.

Developer Response

Thanks for the review! I'm glad that you like the app so far. I'm working on extending it to support many more apps in the near future, including Adobe apps like Illustrator and InDesign for designers like you. If you have any suggestions for the app, email or tweet at me from the links in the app help menu!
Best,
Austin

Not working

Not showing up in Mojave. Won't respond to "Open" in App Store. Won't respond when selecting it after Spotlight search. Gets in the way when it is working. The one day I needed it in the last three months and it's not working. Meh.

Developer Response

Thanks for letting us know about this issue on Mojave. I’ll get a fix out ASAP!

Update: I wasn't able to replicate your issue, but I have an idea of what might be happening. When Button Shortcuts is launched, its icon shows up in the menu bar, not the dock. There is no other indication that it's running (I think I'll change this in an update). You can test if it's running by double-tapping the Command key. If it's running, it'll pop right open. If this doesn't help, shoot me an email at support@buttonshortcuts.com and I'll get this issue figured out quickly.
