Could use some improvements but great concept
I really love the idea of this app. I just started using it and have one issue that I think can be easily fixed. It should be a bit easier to get information on why a company is on list. For example- I typed in Banana Republic, which conflicts with one of my campaigns. Some information pops that says "you are avoiding this company" with a description of why. However, the message cuts off (with ellipses to show that there is more information to read). Intuitively, it seems like clicking on the text field with the information about the company would expand the field to show you the remaining information. However, this instead leads me to an option to view main page of the campaign. There is nothing on the screen to pull up the info. I eventually was able to, in a very roundabout way, find some the "source" material for the parent company Gap. That linked me to an article (which is a great idea). However, I never figured out how to read the rest of the teaser summary that popped up when I looked for the company. Long explanation- but in short, I recommend that the developer add a "+" field to the avoid summary to give the user then option to expand the text and read the full summary.
Every 💵 is a Vote, So know who you Invest In
Everytime I go to purchase ANYTHING I scan it with this app. Now-a-days all the little companies are being bought out by Cocoa-Cola, Kellogs, or General Mills ect. So even when I buy an organic or "natural" brand I would love to know who owns the company. If it'a A company that conflicts with campaigns I'm avoiding I put it down. If it supports and donates to campaigns that I also support I buy it and buy 2 of it. Our dollar is our vote! Think if everyone in your area of grocery store was doing this!? They would realize what is being left over week after week and what is being sought after week after week and will bring more of it! Demand brings the supply!!! So if I can get everyone in Florida on this bandwagon we could have the freshest food!!! Anywhere could be it!!! Have your dollar be your vote !!!!!
-if you buy food; you need this.
-if you buy clothes; you need this.
-if you buy anything;;;; YOU NEED THIS!!!!!!!!
Love this app!
This app is awesome! I mostly follow campaigns re: gmo labeling. This app has been a necessity trying to wade through all of the small, organic/non-gmo companies being bought up by the handful of huge corporations trying to squash our right to know what's in our food. Sorry, but if you don't support my right to know what is in my food, you DEFINITELY don't get to turn around and take my money by selling me the organic version. It's been both eye-opening and frustrating realizing how many companies have been bought up in the last couple years. It makes shopping a little difficult sometimes! I wouldn't have known about a lot of them without this app.
