My essential training motivator
I've been using this for 10 months. I started by following the program, then I went to the Ease Into 10k app. I finished that program. Then I started doing 5 miles three days week. To build my speed, I started the Ease Into 5k app only on Tuesday an Thursday with 5 mile runs on Monday Wednesday and Friday. I started this whole thing by doing about 1 mile at a 16 minute a mile pace. 10 months later and I can do 5 miles at about 11:45 a mile pace. Not fast, but a huge improvement for a 49 year old guy. I could not have done this without this app and the Ease Into 10k app.
Good for a beginner, but if you have loftier goals this app is not for you
I like how this app has the audio prompts to know when to run or walk. I also enjoy being able to control music from the app as well.
This app does not give you the opportunity to journal beyond 3 workouts a week that are included in this program. So if you want to record any walking you do on off days or any cross training you do there is not a place to record that in this app. Which is dissappointing if you are wanting to do more than simply work your way to a 5K. I have been biking and crosstraining on my nonrun days and I'm unable to record that here.
Great App, motivating, worth the money!
This has helped me a lot, and I don't even like running. The audio prompts help me to stay motivated. I enjoy Pandora radio using Motorola S10 Bluetooth while running. Thank you very much, you have helped me to pass my fitness test time and time again!
