Please, spend a minute and leave a quick review in the App Store. It really helps others make a better decision before downloading Calendars 5.
I have been looking for a calendar like this one for years. I used Google Sunrise, and I had to switch to a new app. Sunrise is being phased out. So, I opted with how valuable a calendar is to me, to try this calendar, even if it was not free. The visual is the best yet. I I used to have to purchase a paper calendar to see my whole month in one view and use it it conjunction with my calendar app. The ability this calendar app has to alternate quickly between tasks and different views of the calendar at ease by day, month, or week, is very helpful. Plus, the way for the week display it actually uses the horizontal appearance is nice. I also like the "smart" aspect. It's so quick and easy. For someone like me, whose brain moves very fast through her list, and wants to see the plethora of ideas in a neat format, this app is a dream come true. I thought I could not give up Sunrise. This app is so much better! Worth every cent and more!
Looking over other reviews I noticed another person who is ADD is using this App. And they are finding success. I am very ADD and very driven. I find this app like putting a pair of glasses on my brain, so all the mass of ideas can just be seen finally! I love it! I will recommend to anyone who is ADD, or just super energetic and idea driven.
Love this App!
I love this Calendars 5 App. It seems to be the best one out there for my busy schedule. It has easy entry of appointments, a more informative monthly view, wonderful week and daily views. I like it a lot better than the iphone app. I did not like the spinning wheel to set dates it caused errors. So far no errors on calendars 5. To make it better though I'd like to have a Mac version and the ability to sink with the iphone version. I would like a second ring that is a little stronger when it alerts me of an upcoming appointment. And a more detailed task list where I could prioritize tasks by groupings/categories and like the franklin planner by A1, A2, A3, B1, C1, D1, etc. (And a priority marking of different colors like Outlook and/or priority mark by time sensitivity c1= critical item due now, d2 = do it within next 2 days, w1=do it within next 1 week, m2= do it in next 1 month, etc.) Also, the ability to print out daily and monthly appointment views from my Mac computer would be more helpful. It looks like there is a printer app from the iphone but I haven't tried it yet. I hope it works well. I got it in the bundle purchase but haven't tried these other apps out yet. Peace to all.
They STILL refuse to fix a bug!!
This is a great calendar app, as all the reviews clearly show. But there is an annoying bug that we've had to deal with for YEARS, and despite contacting support multiple times and waiting patiently, they still REFUSE to fix it, even though they assured us long ago that they would.
This bug goes all the way back to the release of the iPhone 6 Plus. Since the 6 Plus has such a large screen, the Week View event boxes are stretched out large enough to contain about four lines of text, but they still only display the first part of the event description like they did on the smaller screens. This leaves the majority of the event boxes completely BLANK. This is a massive waste of space and means that we have to drill down into every event one by one in order to actually SEE the title to really know what that event is. For instance, all we see is "Meeting with" and nothing else! This is a very simple fix for them; literally 10 minutes by one of their programmers, but they just flat out WON'T do it.
I will leave my review at 1 star until they actually show some courtesy to their paying customers and correct this long overdue problem!! And while you're at it, stop annoying you're paying customers with constant requests for us to leave a review. If we've paid for your app, you should NEVER bug us with things like this!
