Calendar invents details
I'm not usually one to rate things, but I'm incredibly frustrated by this app and have been multiple times in the past. I love the layout of Calendars, which is why I chose it, but at the end of the day, the most crucial feature of a calendar app is accuracy. I am a touring musician by trade, and when the time zone I'm in changes, my calendar updates to that time zone. I would expect that some things might change with that, but when I put something in the calendar with a specific time, that time needs to not change. If I go from Michigan to Chicago in one day, I need to know my events three weeks out haven't been touched at all by the time zone change. But that's not the case. I've also nearly missed a flight from Portland to Chicago because of the way the calendar updates times. And on top of that, I have it synced with my google calendars, and for some reason, the dates on the app on my phone for some of my performances are a day off of what they actually are. I rely on my calendar for everything time-oriented. I will have to find a new calendar app because I'm pretty sure "My calendar app told me the wrong date!" is not an acceptable excuse when you don't show up somewhere you're expected.
Love this app!
This is the best calendar app I've found thus far. It's easy to use and allows easy syncing with gmail accounts, but you have to be on a Mac/PC to set up the synced calendar. I love the color coding abilities and month view option that allows you to read the actual title of the scheduled event without having to open the event itself up. Also, it pairs up with Waze and allows to you program the gps location of the events. It will tell you when you should be leaving and how long it will take in current traffic. If you have an upcoming event within the hour or so and pull up Waze, it will prompt you with "Are you still going to 324 Main Street at 1:00pm?" and have the location programmed in and ready to go. Love it
Love Calendars
I've been using readdle calendars for a few years. Works super well with my google calendar, but with a much better interface. When I've had questions/ problems, tech support had been very responsive via email. One of very few apps I would pay for.
I wish I could sometimes DIS-able the the way events don't show the start/end times in the header. For example, Google calendar understands when I enter 9-11 and populates the start/end times correctly. BUT it also leaves the times in the header. We use Google calendars for staff scheduling and have to show the info next to the person's name.
