Cali: Gesture-based Calculator
By Austin Valleskey
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Cali is a beautifully designed calculator that utilizes gestures so doing basic math functions are easier and quicker than ever. Simply swipe up to add, swipe down to subtract, swipe right to multiply, swipe left to divide, it's that easy!
Cali was designed to be insanely simple and easy to use. The buttons are large and don't distract you from the task at hand. Along with the generally beautiful design, there are 5 different themes to choose from(all of which are the colors the iPhone 5c come in).
Along with your basic calculator functions, there are more complex ones like sine, cosine, tangent, a much much more!
Add - Swipe up in white area
Subtract - Swipe down in white area
Divide - Swipe left in white area
Multiply - Swipe right in white area
To copy answer to clipboard - Hold your finger down in top black area
To remove last number entered - Swipe towards the left in the top black area
With Cali, you can calculate in style while getting the job done quickly and easily.

In this update:
• Bug fixes
• Calculating aspect has been greatly improved
• I listened and have added the ability to calculate more than 2 things at once(You can now do this: 2+4*34/3.14*4^2)!
• Landscape mode for both iPhone and iPad
• More color schemes
• History view so you can view, email, or use your previous calculations!
As stated above, if you have any suggestions for new features, please let me know, I'd love to hear them!
Latest version made fine improvements. Well done.
Good idea, but... Am I correct that to add a string of numbers one has to hit = after the second, third, ... , nth entry?! That's not how calculators work. Should be number swipe number swipe number swipe ... swipe number =. Instead after the second number the up swipe is treated as a clear entry. I'm far more likely to enter my number correctly than I am to have to clear it and re-enter. What is needed is a gesture or key to clear last digit. Perhaps a key when tapped clears a digit and when tapped and held clears the entire number.
Also, try this: touch 8 up swipe touch 2 touch = (10 appears as answer) now touch 2. Screen shows 102.
I'll watch for an update, but not very useful as it is.
Latest version fixed the bug mentioned just above, but did nothing about ease-of-use problems.
Bought the app and found the the tangent, cosine, sine, and other features do not work. Wish I could get my money back.
