Keycode in use issue!
I bought this game a few days ago specifically to try out the single player AND the multiplayer. To my surprise, the single player is incredible, but I can't connect to any servers in multiplayer. Why? Because I keep getting a message that says "Keycode in use. Try connecting later." At this point in time Aspyr can't seem to make a proper port of one of the greatest PC games to Mac. It can't be that hard to release an update by now that will fix this issue, because I payed $30 for this. It's not worth even $15 if the multiplayer can't even work! I'm extremely frustrated and Aspyr is not much help because they told me to delete a specific file that keeps reappearing on my computer after every time I open up Call of Duty 2. They have grudgingly responded to my 9 emails... What terrible service! If you've recently bought a Mac, be warned: The same thing could happen to you.
COD 2 Review
Though I have this for the PC, when I discovered it was on the App Store, I had to get it, especially being a WW II fanatic. I'm surprised to say that this game runs exceptionally well on my Macbook Pro, no lag or anything. Though I'm giving it a 5 star rating, the only minor gripe I have is the shooting controls, mainly because I don't have a mouse to use and the trackpad can be overly sensitive at times, it's not a dealbreaker at all, just a little frustrating. The story is good, gameplay is great, and the controls are easy to pick up. If Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops can be added, that would be great. I definitely reccomend picking this up, as well as the original Call Of Duty (haven't played that one yet).
Disapointed is an understatement
To use the word disappointing leads one to belive that I have feelings for this game. Yet, after the 12 hours it took to finally download, I go to play the game and find out that I can not use my game controller to play. The game wants me to use the mouse and the keyboard only, without an option to use a controller. That is unfathomable. I have always found the mouse and keyboard concept to be unwieldy in shooter games. I love the controller and use it on other shooter games on the Mac, so I know the controller works. I downloaded this game because it seemed to be highly praised, but I was sorely disappointed. Why would they create a game that has this flaw? Noone else seems to mind, but I found that I do mind. If you are like me, and find the mouse and keyboard concept difficuolt to use in shooter games, then this is NOT the game for you.
