Caller-ID

By Greenflight Venture Corporation

This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.

Description

The Caller-ID app by Caller-ID.co is the internet's first free and real Caller ID service. If somebody called you and you're trying to find out who owns the number, use our app to quickly do a "reverse lookup" and determine who called you.

Now with Maps and improved Geolocation!

Most (if not all) cellular phone carriers do not offer the full caller ID service that exists for landline phones. When someone calls a mobile phone, the cell phone caller ID leaves out the name, only showing the phone number and/or city of the caller. Real landline caller ID shows the number & name of the caller. Finally, a free & real landline caller ID utility exists for the iPhone.

Simply enter the number that called you, and we provide the name ("caller identification") registered to the phone number. Our service works for the entire United States and Canada, and we are adding more countries soon. Our caller identification is accurate information directly received from our telephone company partner. It is the same caller ID you would receive on a landline phone. Note: This App provides Caller ID for approximately 70% of wireless phones and VOIP phones. This is consistent with any other traditional landline caller ID system.

This tool may only be used to research phone numbers that called you. Map areas are approximate.

This app implements patented web caller ID technology specified in U.S. Patent No. 8,861,698 . The Caller-ID app and the www.okcaller.com website are the only applications authorized to provide this real-time, verifiable caller identification service. We are not affiliated with Hiya, CallerName, or other apps that subsequently implemented this patented feature.

Its Lame!

What a hunk of junk! The UI is featureless and completely unintuitive. After the app launches, the only thing you see is a search field to manually enter a phone number into. Shouldn't the app look at recent calls and allow you to pick one? It doesnt, you have to write the number down on paper, memorize the number or flip back and forth between this app and the phone app to manually enter the number. Then after all that, result you get is either a name and nothing else to support it or worse nothing useful. Then adware displays after each search telling you to write a review to stop the adware from displaying. Then a broad area map displays showing you where the call originated from. No pin or anything indicating the actual location of the caller. This app is worthless, unintuitive and a waste of time if you do happen to try and use it.
A first grader might be capable of designing a better UI, provide at least a couple of usable features and make the app more intuitive than whatever this thing is trying to be.
After i tap send to post this review, I'm going to do another number search to see if the adware stops popping up. Either way tho, this app is getting deleted. Don't waste your time with this app!

Does exactly what it says it will do

Quick and easy with no crashes so far and have yet to come across a number it couldn't identify. Only annoying thing is that the geolocation lookup is a bit misleading-obviously that only works for landlines which are few and far between these days. Other then that it's the cats pajamas!

Update-I forgot to mention that the design of the app is rather outdated. Although it is very simple to use, the lack of a "back" button is extremely annoying. I hate that I have to do the extra step of pressing geolocate before I can clear out the number I am done with and enter another one for it to look up.

How could such an obvious necessary function have been overlooked? It's not like the rest of the app was so intricate and detailed that the developer was overwhelmed and forgot to add it in there, this app has literally like 2 things it can do. How hard would it have been to add a third function; the back/clear button?!

Nope!! Look this is crazy!!!

Ohh my... I absolutely hate how most apps will basically "harass" you for a review, just as soon as you have made the download ...Helloooo.? Really?? ... Can you possibly just give me a chance to even familiarize myself with your app!!!! ??? Can you let me check it out first geezzz!! I cannot tell whether your app is something that I will keep, or will delete, will love, or will hate!!! Think about it ..,HOW can I logically ever recommend something so foreign, any app must first PROVE itself, and then it must sustain all initial abilities , and hopefully it will eventually even grow in its usefulness, into more and improved capabilities !!... BY which , this sort of unexpected growth , and people perceiving they're getting a lot for a little.. THAT type of thing, not harassment, ALWAYS causes reviews to increase in value ,then customers will want to give your app a great review ... You must know this already ..my Lord.. You keep working hard on bettering your app and the great reviews WILL flow... naturally,!! Honestly, and without the initial red flags your harassment has created!!! Why ?? Just STOP doing this already geeezzx !!!
