Love it!

Update... Still my favorite app! I would like to be able to input more info on my profile. Maybe have a section for body fat and BMI as well as body measurements and goals. I'd like to have a chart to graph my progress. I haven't upgraded to include the membership and maybe there is more included with that, but even the free version offers enough to keep me on track. I love the accountability with logging my food. The barcode scanner is so accurate in finding the nutrition value of food, it's amazing. Other apps aren't quite as accurate at this one. I also like that I can view my account on my phone, laptop, and my tablet. I usually will have one of those in front of me. I would like to be able to adjust my daily values (I can now) I'd like my daily goals to include more protein, less carbs etc. I would also like to "favorite" some food items without entering in the data as if it were my own. I can't seem to figure that out. Other than that it's a great app overall I love it!!

My favorite app

I have been using MFP for a couple of years now. I am concisently pleased with each update except for the last one. Since the latest update there are problems with food that I have logged not showing up in my diary until I completely close the app and restart. 👎🏼
There are times when I have problems with eating enough calories in a day. I just forget to eat if I get busy. MFP keeps me on teach with consuming sufficient calories.
I would like to have the extras that are available with the premium version but for now will just stick with the free version.
This app is NOT just for "diaters" who are trying to lose weight this app is anyone counting calories whether it be consuming enough for a day...or....trying not to consume to many. This is an awesome app.
Suggestion for the MFP developers/advertisers. I would love to see advertisement for this app to include being used by people that DO have problems getting enough calories in during the course of a day...and not just have the advertisement geared towards weight loss.

New Premium Features Are Great!

Tracking by macronutrients is by far better than calories alone and seeing the summary of foods that contributed to each macronutrient is helpful for reflecting on the day. Also ability to allocate the additional exercise calories to a specific macronutrient (fat in my case) is much more appropriate than arbitrarily increasing all of the macronutrient limits for the day, as with my diet it would not be appropriate to increase carbs or protein.

Would give 5 stars if food inventories had adequate nutritional information (for items such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, etc). Even the so-called verified items lack complete information.

For example, just because a label doesn't disclose potassium content doesn't mean the food doesn't have potassium -- the vast majority of foods do contain these nutrients but the value is simply omitted. This is especially true for whole foods such as meats and vegetables. It's near impossible to accurately account for key electrolytes and other nutrients without this information.
