I depend on my fitness pal
It easily makes keeping track of what I eat , therefore keeping track of calories and nutrition contact. I have a mandatory goal to take in 70 grams of protein daily. Not only do I have a pie chart that breaks nutrition down but it also tells me instantly that this food item I just logged is high in protein or if it is high in fat, cholesterol, fiber. I love those thoughtful notifications. If I turn my device sideways so it becomes landscape format, the app tells me more about what I eat, nutrition involved and breaks down breakfast, lunch, and dinner for me. Live this information! It has evolved to be so much easier to use and carries a large database of foods, restaurant foods and grocery store items. Of course I love the camera use to scan barcodes. One other thing that I've have come to enjoy and depend on are the blogs and recipes. I log them and use them too. I love the exercise blogs as well. This app just makes journaling my life so much easier and convenient. It also works seamlessly with my Fitbit. And that is another strong reason for using this app. I am loosing weight by following the feed back I receive from this app.
This app is a must have!
As a former competitive gymnast, I grew up eating very healthy and always exercising & not having to worry about my weight. Once I got injured & retired from the sport, I began gaining weight & not feeling like myself. I have a gym membership and go to the gym every week but I felt like my eating habits was just making my gym workouts useless. My sisters friend recommended MyFitnessPal app and it's probably one of the best things I've ever done in my life! I can still eat everything I want, but controllably. I have been using the app for almost 3 weeks and I've lost 4 pounds! The app motivates me to eat healthier & to exercise too! My favorite part is just being able to scan the barcode from your camera on lets say your granola bar and automatically it tells you how much your eating. Thank you MyFitnessPal for such an amazing free app! It's life changing (: this app is a must have for anyone, even if your not trying to lose weight!
Have Used to Lose 100+ Pounds
This app has literally saved my life. To date, I have lost 113 pounds using this app to track my food. It keeps getting better and better! Love the new feature that advises me of the good and bad in certain foods I add (e.g. This food is high in sodium) which helps me make better choices!
Also the report functions are incredible. The app will adjust your daily calorie level as you lose and when you complete your entry daily, it tells you how much you'll weigh in 5 weeks. It's a no brainer for anyone who wants to get healthy! You can scan food labels or create your own recipes which calculate calories and nutrition info for you.
I'm grateful for this wonderful tool!
