Customer Reviews

Great but poor nutrient information

I love the app , it is very simple and visually appealing but lacks a lot in functionality . The estimated calorie needs are very off. I also understand the food database takes time to establish but even the items already listed are incorrect. I scanned an item and the "verified " information that came up was different from the information on the package.

As if that is not annoying enough, about 60% of the apps features are restricted to gold membership, and the rates are $8.99/month , $6.33/ three months and $3.33/year. If the app actually had accurate and abundant food information I would pay 3.33 for it but only a one time fee. Some of the best apps only charge around the $1.99 one time so I do know why this costs so much. I wouldn't pay recurring prices even if it were perfect.

The app has a lot of potential. If they reconsider their prices for gold membership and seriously revamp the food database I would say its worth 4 stars.

Pretty Good Overall

I wish I could do 4 1/2 stars but since I can't, I went with 4. The app is pretty good. I switched from MFP after they added the gaudy Under Armour logo to the app icon. The design and functionality is great and it's very easy to add food and recipes. The one problem I have is that when making food, you're locked in when you try to add the serving size. For example, I added peanut butter whose serving size is 2 tablespoons. I could select different units like cups or teaspoons but it would only let me have the serving as one unit like "1 tablespoon" or "1 cup." This isn't a huge deal for this, I just cut the nutrition in half but there are plenty of times where this becomes inconvenient like when the serving is "11 crackers" or "6 ounces."

Almost The Best

I absolutely adore this app and I just started using it a little while ago. I find it to be both visually appealing and easy to use. The only thing I ever wished an app like this had was the ability to put blog posts or information into the app and look at it for inspiration or advice and exercises. Like how you can use the app pocket to save or bookmarks things you like.
