Written by someone who knows nothing about Canasta!

I realize this is just a game, but at least make it enjoyable for the player and realistic to the real world!! Let's start out by pointing out some of the reasons I feel this program was written by an individual with no experience with the game of Canasta. The plays the BOT partner makes are downright ridiculous: holding four cards in their hand when three are already played by their partner. This is a 500 point Full Canasta and should never be held in the hand. Turning a potentially full Canasta into a Mixed Canasta before the partner has a chance to play. Using a wild card to put down ten points worth of cards when an open mixed Canasta worth 300 points lies open. And the idiocy goes on. Also, when the play is down to one card left for pick up, it is not okay to end the game when the discard is made prior to the final card pick-up. This game could be so good. The graphics are great and the speed is good, but the game playing is obviously not being addressed by the developer.

This is an addition to the original review made over a year ago. I see you haven't updated the game bugs for almost two years! If you don't care how your customers enjoy the game, then thus customer will most likely move on to another developer!

What’s with the Al’s?

I love playing this game but I WISH that whoever owns this game would allow smells be who is proficient in Canasta to reprogram it....The Al’s put down 3 of a kind when the deck is frozen....they meld when the deck is frozen....that’s why no one can capture the discards.....for lack of a better term, they play stupid...
I get so frustrated playing this game, because I used to play with 3 friends and we had some awesome Canasta games....but this is like playing with beginners.....and I have it on the HARD setting....PLEASE....PLEASE....PLEASE....reprogram this!

Wanted to add this.....someone wrote in a review that it is basically cheating to hold 2 cards of a kind in your hand when you have already melded those cards and the discard pile is frozen....1. There is no written rule to that effect....2. That’s just being called a savvy player....capturing a frozen discard pile can build a slew of points....it’s called survival of the fittest and I’ve won many games by doing this as I’m sure most of you have....

Fun, I just don't understand the AIs logic

I love canasta and find this fun to play, I just don't understand my AI partner's logic sometimes. I feel it is written to avoid red canastas. For example, I just completed a game where there were six 4s melded and my partner played a two on the fours to make a black canasta and discarded a 4 while the discard pile was frozen. I get the concept of playing a card that is of the same type as one of our melded piles, because the odds of the other team having a pair of that card are slim to none, but why not make the red canasta and discard the wild card? It is maddening! This isn't the first time it has happened either. Please fix this to play for the Reds, especially when they are easily obtainable. Thank you!
