Lack of Details

MAC.MUN

I’ve always been a fan of Consumer Reports magazines for automobiles over the years. This app is disappointing because it lacks details in a key area of their ratings. For example, predicted reliability - if they give a vehicle a low reliability rating, they should give some explanation of how they came to that conclusion. It doesn’t make sense not to explain what issues a vehicle may have to conclude it’s low reliability rating. They need to step it up with some details to justify their low reliability ratings.

Lacks deals available on full website

McGee Lapish

I may be doing something wrong with how I indicate that ok have a subscription, but I'm surprised at the apps pack of details. There's so much more info on the full website! Would be a big improvement if subscribers could even link out to CR's section on their website for each car.

We appreciate the feedback. If you would like to send your contact info to membershipapphelp@cr.consumer.org we can help you get the most out of our app.

Garbage/Ripoff

Magneto Grande

Purchasing in-app gives you no choice to provide login passcodes, yet immediately sends you back to a page which ASKS for them. Once I went through a settings maze of somehow accidentally removing and then restoring my subscription...it automatically let me in at that point. Which is probably what is was supposed to do from the start.

Once I was finally in, guess what? ZERO information on EITHER of the vehicles I was researching. Total waste of money.

Developer Response

Your app purchase should be controlled through your Apple ID. Sorry you had that trouble. If you want to reach out to membershipapphelp@cr.consumer.org we can see if we can help with your vehicle inquiry.
