By Josh Monroe
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Car Minder is an application for managing all your car maintenance needs, logging repairs and tracking fuel economy. Keep track of multiple cars, services and repairs. Keep track of oil changes, tire rotations, and other maintenance tasks for all your cars. Never have to wonder again when your car needs it's next oil change or the last time you replaced those squeaky windshield wipers. Detect potential problems early by tracking your fuel consumption. Taking care of your car by following recommended maintenance intervals prolongs the life of your car, keeps it running better and increases fuel economy so that you use less gas. Use Car Minder to get the most out of your vehicle.
Car Minder's easy and beautiful interface lets you record services, fillups and repairs in mere seconds and lookup when a service is due just as fast.
Car Minder's new Gas Log lets you easily track your gas consumption By displaying your average mileage, most recent mileage and a graph of all your fillups. In addition, Car Minder displays a nice gauge to help you easily identify how your last fillup compares to your average.
Car Minder keeps a complete record of your car and allows you to email those records to anyone.
Every time you sync with iTunes, Car Minder's database is backed up to your computer and can be restored if you lose or break your phone.

Best Car Maintenance app
Allows user to keep a log of repairs for multiple vehicles. Keeps a gas log for tracking MPG used. You can also track preventive maintenance items such as oil changes and tire rotations by mileage or date due. This app will alert you when an item is due for maintenance by giving a red light on the item that needs maintenance. Would rate this 5 stars if you could have the option to backup or restore the data to/from a file or cloud service. As it stands, if you get a new phone, you have to type everything all over again. It also asks for you to enter a price paid for gas on the gas log, but this data is never displayed anywhere. Overall great app, but could be perfect if you could backup your data or sync it with another family members iPhone.
The app really is good overall. Easy to set up maintenance schedules, know what's coming up and when, and to track your fuel economy over time. Wish the app would also graph fuel prices if it's going to ask me to enter them. Miss the ability to switch between 3-mo, 12-mo and lifetime fuel economy graphs. Also wish it would track repair costs over time to see how much you're really spending on your car. App could easily calculate total cost to drive per year or per mile. But those are my wishes. When it comes down to it, it's still a great app that serves it's purpose: to keep you on-track for scheduled maintenance and track your fuel economy. I'd recommend it to anyone considering an app for those purposes.
New Update Not So Good
I don’t like this app after the update. I want to be able to see shorter term average MPG, instead of the lifetime that is shows now. I was able to see the three month average before. Now, I see the MPG for the entire lifetime of my truck, which includes the break in period. Sure, the lifetime average MPG is interesting to see, but I want to see what I’m getting more recently.
Also, there appears to be a bug in the Services section. I just changed my oil and rotated the tires. Before I logged it, the app said that I was over due by a few hundred miles. Now the app says that I’m over due by more than 30,000 miles for the oil change, and nearly 40,000 for the tire rotation. I do both at the same time, so I don’t understand how they can be so far off, and why it thinks that I’m over due.
