Superb Solitaire

Update! Not feeling quite as rosy as at first. I feel like the further along I progress (unlocking cards) the less fun I have because the Normal game mode becomes exponentially harder to win due to the random (frequently crappy) combinations. As a result, I lose the vast majority of Normal games, which makes the appeal go down. I know lots of games get harder as they go, but this feels ... insanely hard. :) Still a good game, but it's hard enough now (with no way to get rid of cards you bought) that I don't enjoy it nearly as much. So I'm taking back one star. Though it's still great.

Extremely well done and lots of fun. Fantastic spin on a normal solitaire game and the RPG element is perfect. It's great that you win most games but the high score aspect always keeps pushing you to do better. Easily recommended.

When is the physical copy coming out? ;)

Very much a regular card game

I think I was hoping for some enhanced features to a digital card game--you know, a game that would use the fact that it wasn't limited to physical cards and allow the cards to do fun things or have... I don't know, abilities or something. Something to make it more of a strategy game than simply solitaire.

But it is just that: solitaire. You could, theoretically play this with a deck of cards. Which is fine. But that's all it is. A fine game of digital solitaire. Sometimes you get dealt hands you can't do anything about. Sometimes you get hands that win. Meh...

Yeah, there are ability cards, but they don't really feature centrally in play. You occasionally come across one, and it sometimes helps (most of the time not much). The game's just kinda... solitaire on an iPad.

6s / iOS 9.x

This title is so good that I bought a copy for my wife. She isn't into RPGs, dungeon crawlers, roguelikes or CCGs, but loves both the aesthetics and concept of this game. It's solitaire with a hint of the foregoing for the imaginative nothing of the sort for others. It has something for nearly every personality type—an amazing feat. Elegant simplicity at its finest, and a two-person indie development team that is active in the online communities and has supported the game with a number of updates. Large studios, with all the resources at their disposal, almost never pander to their fans. These devs have and deserve to be rewarded.
