I must agree and repeat the same words as others over & over (as in the game)! I have 3 older kids that love puzzle games, but this one is too hard for them. With a Computer a Science masters degree, I can still spend hours on many puzzles.
Saving multiple solutions, version control of unsolved puzzles, & saving off a set of instructions for reuse (building libraries of moves that are easy to reference in other puzzles) are 2 big needs! Settings to disable the sounds/music while letting background music play is also a must while playing for hours. Those changes would make this much more enjoyable! Then a button to simply change the "best solution" criteria would make this several games in one. Shortest moves would be nice, but I've found that shortest moves is nearly equivalent to shortest time to solve and may be easier! Also, updating the game or downloading "content" updates when new solutions are found would be nice. I'd also love to see an option in Settings to include a link to the video with the best solution displayed!
Very good, could use some improvements
I'm a programmer, but what they consider the best score is not what I would consider the best score. For instance, I just did one puzzle and although I did it with 4 registers and it did solve it and that is the shortest solution for that puzzle in terms of instructions, it was not solved efficiently. The claw made many unnecessary movements that would be undesirable in the real world. Also, navigation could be improved and it would be nice if you could reset the tutorial from the beginning so that a new user could go through it. I did find ways to sometimes do that, but it was awkward. Overall, I find this game fun and instructive and would recommend it.
Great idea that needs a little more polish.
I had a great time playing this game, which has some fabulous ideas. However, there are some minor annoyances that are infinitely magnified when I'm trying to solve challenging (for me, anyway) problems. Not supporting Game Center is also a bummer.
Four stars when there is some kind of version control and/or undo feature. Also needed is easier and quicker solution sharing. (Trainyard by Matt Rix is an excellent, excellent example.)
Five stars when there are tools for user-designed levels (Again, Trainyard by Matt Rix is fantastic example of this). Maybe users could pay to access these levels (either one time in-app purchase for the feature or subscription), while designing/sharing for free.
Personally, I would pay for more levels if/when --and only if/when-- these enhancements are put in. I would also pay for any of the above enhancements. Of course, free/affordable prices are always appreciated.
Developers probably don't read stuff here... but congrats and keep up the good work!
