Can't get past first screen to enroll in perks.
It asked for my email and password. Then it does not go anywhere. I wanted to sign up for rewards/perks. My password meets the criteria, and it has a green checkmark by it indicating it is OK. There's no button to hit to go forward from the screen and finish the enrollment in perks. It does nothing automatically. I use Starbucks because of the convemience if their app and rewards – I would use Caribou more often if their app worked correctly even though that means I need to drive past the Starbucks and go further to a Caribou – I would rather support a Minnesota company then a big chain, but I don't want to go through this kind of hassle.
Why a two step? And why doesn't it work?
It's time consuming to have to "check in" and pay separately. Today payment wouldn't work at all. The barista told me some users used screenshots of the two bar codes to use them more quickly.
Because the app didn't work I kept the next customer waiting.
Also, I'd rather pay each transaction as it occurs or be billed monthly (see the Dunn Bros. app) than be charged in advance for purchase. I deleted my credit card from the app so it won't be automatically charged again. This is VERY poor customer service.
Today, I could not pay w/the app AGAIN. "Card not recognized" was the error the cashier received.

Unreliable, can't use at store, irrelevamt offets
I have $35 that I cannot use because it is trapped in the app. Store has no accessible wifi to be able to access app and network coverage is unavailable. I get offers for coffee when I drink tea and I had to basically beg for the offer to apply to the tea I bought (which is the same price as coffee). Two step check in/payment reminds me of how much better starbucks is every time I come here.
