Miscellaneous bug fixes and minor enhancements.
Great App, Haven't Had Any Problems
I am a new user to Cartwheel and so far I like it very much. I haven't had any server issues and so far it's worked well when I'm at Target to use the app.
I always base what discounts I add to Cartwheel based on what I usually buy or what I have on my shopping list. I find it very unnecessary that people seem to scan every item they want to buy to see if there is a possible discount. That just seems like a waste of time to me. I always look through what is available when I make my shopping list and add what I'll use. I use several coupon apps (Safeway, Fred Meyer, Ibotta) and Cartwheel works very similar to the others. If I do buy something extra, I will check with the scanning feature but I guess I'm one of those people who doesn't buy much outside of what my family needs.
The only thing I don't like is I have to earn slots for discounts. Having the items I buy often preloaded on my list ahead of time is helpful and sometimes there just isn't enough slots when I see a special item I might want to buy as well. So far this is my only complaint.
I also had server issues...
...but I figured out it was because I changed my Facebook password. I deleted the app and reinstalled and logged in with Facebook and haven't had any issues. However, I only gave three stars because I don't like the changes. There aren't nearly as many good discounts which kind of makes it pointless to go to Target for things other than clothes. I can't justify buying groceries at such high prices with no discounts. I also used to buy pet food with cartwheel and those discounts have pretty much vanished. The search doesn't work, always searches for something else than what I put in. I have saved over $600 with cartwheel but it seems those days are over. RIP cartwheel.
On the road to improvement!
Cartwheel has saved me money on every Target trip, I love it! It still has some kinks to work out such as times when it will not connect my account to Facebook and I will have tried this multiple times grrrr. The interface has been cleaned up a lot and seems a lot more user friendly and less cluttered. The barcode scanner can be a particular at times, it's worked for me 95% of the time. I also like that with the more you save you can earn badges and thus receive more spots for items, some nice positive reinforcement. I think it's been a rocky start for Cartwheel but with a little patience... I would say it's worth it!
