Not too bad
The game takes a little bit to be fully understood and it has a fairly simply graphics. But in its simplicity is a nice game to play. And it could be so much more fun with more players, various AI and online gaming .... so hopefully the dev will give us all that!!
Good concept, but needs more strategy
I really like the foundation of this game, but as several others said in the previous version's reviews, the gameplay needs more strategy because luck is too big of a factor. Here's my suggestion: change the discard portion of the game so that you can discard any card on a turn, even if the card is playable (which would mean if you want to discard a playable card, then you "pass" your turn to discard it). This would greatly improve the game because too often you are stuck playing cards you really don't need that drain your resources when you are trying to save up for bigger spells or attacks. For instance, if you are trying to save your magic for a large offensive spell, but you can only play one card that happens to be a spell to give you more wood (that you don't need because you already have a ton of wood), then it drains your magic so you must wait even longer to play the spell you have been saving for. And then next turn you draw another card which is the only one you can play: another spell, for stones that you don't need and your magic is drained again. This seems to happen WAY TOO OFTEN! It would be much better if you could just choose not to cast that wood or stone spell and then discard it that turn even though it is playable, so that you can save your magic for spells you really want to cast (or to save your weapons for big attacks instead of being forced to sabotage stones or wood even when your opponent has plenty so it's just a waste). It would make the game much more strategic because you would have to pick whether it's worth it to pass a turn and throw away a playable card in order to conserve your resources. Please add this to the game. You could even make it a separate game type or an option, but it would really improve the game. I would definitely give it 5 stars if you added this. Also, animations for catapults and spells would be nice too.
