No way is this a five star game....it is at least a five HUNDRED star game!!! I absolutely could not put it down until I hit 70,000.
I was a bit disappointed to not get a fancy fanfair when I had won the final achievement, purchased every last one of the upgrades, acquired the last peasant, and traveled over 100,000 feet in distance, and over 10,000 feet high. I never did see anything special about the so-called "captured castle," unless acquiring the fourth peasant, (the king), was supposed to indicate the castle had been captured.
At any rate, a very fine game, and one that I would recommend that everyone try, whether there is a "grand finale" or not.
It would be really neat if each of the peasants had special flying skills and various tools to assist them, rather then having the same tools for all four of them. Perhaps a rocket for one of the peasants, and an eagle for another peasant to hitchhike a ride with, etc, for a bit of variety. (Hint, hint, developers!)
GREAT JOB, and GREAT THANKS for a swell game!
AFTER the system reboot glitch, it works fine. (edit: It still crashes occasionally, but it's rare.) It's another catapult for distance game. I'm hoping someone is working on that reboot issue.
I achieved the "goal" in a short time, but I still try to break my own record. After a certain distance, you feel like it just keeps going to where you can just lay the device down and watch for minutes at a time with no interaction at all until it comes to a stop. This is mildly annoying when you know it won't pass your goal anyway.
I've played this concept a few times in the past few years. 30% skill, 70% luck.
What sets this one apart is the graphics. Humorous and done with a nice style.
Don't expect to be launching at targets, though. This is not Angry Birds. Your ONLY goal is distance.
Overall, a pleasant temporary time waster.
It's no doubt a fun game. It doesn't take that long to beat. When you get 50,000 the game ends and in return you get an endurance mode. It could maybe just use different distances for levels.
The graphics are very very nice. The game runs pretty smooth for the speed at which the game is played. There were a few hiccups concerning a laggy point or two but nothing that ruined gameplay.
It is a pretty short game in the "campaign" or "story" mode, whatever you want to call it. I beat the game in two days and completed all the achievements in three. But for the cost of $0.00 the game is far and away one of the best free games out right now. Just wish it was longer.
