This review is going to sound extremely negative, but I actually adore and love this game a lot. So, once you get up to where there’s only a few epic cats left, it’s basically impossible to find any new cats. You spend so much cat grass that you can’t get in very large quantities because you’ve collected all the normal and rare cats and can’t use fish. I understand it being rarer and harder to find cats as the game goes along, but come on, it’s nearly impossible and honestly gets stressful, while the game is supposed to be about simplicity. It would be nice if it was either slightly easier to find new epic cats or easier to get cat more cat grass and in larger quantities. It would also be cool if the screen was bigger or there was more to the woods and outside of the game, but that’s no big deal. Plus, I understand making the players wait in excitement and everything with the update, but once you’ve done almost everything in the game it gets boring, and when you’re promised an update soon and never ever get it and don’t think you ever will, it kind of makes you not want to play it or sometimes honestly just delete it to have extra space bc it seems like the developers are just lying to get me to play it.
This is one of the most relaxing, lenient, simple, enjoyable games I’ve ever played. The daily quest makes it worth a once daily log in, finding all the cats took me just over a month, and there are little surprises in the game that are just delightful! It keeps track of how much time you’ve been in the game today, and everything in the game is accessible without purchases. Ads are optional (but part of daily quest, so worth it) and the entire game is just so pleasing, both aesthetically and pacing-wise.
Those complaining about the long upgrade times... I understand, but I think intentionally going slow is a reflection of the game’s simplicity, to pace yourself and enjoy, just like cats. No need to rush - the achievements will come in due time, all the cats will come in due time, and you’ll find yourself addicted in due time!
The only thing I can’t wait for is mating, now that I found all the cats. For now, I’ll be upgrading and decorating and learning new skills!
Okay, if you don’t want to be addicted to this game-don’t play it. Basically; you start out with two cats and you get more and more and the town progresses. Works without internet. Great for a road trip (ect.) That’s what is going to convince to play this game. What might not is the fact that you spend so much of your coins and time to get stuf like that and sometimes you get the same cat when you attract a new one and it says: we meet again and then it just gives you a couple toys instead of your fish back, and! If you pay for some of the fish or grass or whatever that stuf is and you just get another toy then you are wasting your money. DO NOT PAY FOR THE IN APP PURCHASES! I love cat games and this is addicting in a good way thanks whoever the developer is! And please fix the ‘we meet again’ problem thing.
