Huge Downgrade from Previous App
I’ve been a BankMobile BOLD customer for about a year now. I loved everything about it, from the easy, modern and vibrant app interface to being able to transfer between multiple accounts at the click of a button. But, ever since they’ve combined BankMobile BOLD with Customers Bank, it seems like everything’s gone downhill. Touch ID doesn’t work properly, and for someone who doesn’t easily remember their passwords because they use Touch ID for everything, it’s an extreme hassle. If you ever forget your password, you have to call customer service and have them unlock your account so you can sign in with a temporary password. I’m always on the go and always busy so it’s an inconvenience to sit on the phone with customer service for something that could easily be solved with a passcode sent to your phone via text message, which is exactly how the previous app used to work! I was also able to set up SMS alerts for my bank account with the previous app but it seems like they’ve taken that feature away as well. I can no longer transfer money easily through any external accounts. The new app is an aesthetic eye sore on top of it all. Unfortunately, I’m thinking about closing my account and finding another online bank. Please bring back the BankMobile BOLD app! It’s what drew most of the customers to it in the first place.

As a BankMobile customer since its launch in 2015, I must say this is a HUGE downgrade, in terms of both aesthetics and functionality, from the previous BankMobile BOLD app. Gone is BankMobile’s vibrant, modern interface, replaced by a generic stock interface (I know because my other bank’s mobile app has this exact same design) in an old-timey American flag color scheme. Not only that, I’ve noticed several functions that used to be included in the mobile app – such as making external transfers – that now require you to use the ridiculously primitive web interface.
In my more recent experience with the new app, Touch ID doesn’t even work properly. Instead you get an “Authentication Required” error message, and you have to put in your password every single time you want to use the app. The old app, by comparison, used to just sign you in automatically.
I seriously hope this current platform is only a temporary placeholder for an actual new, modern interface that they’re working on, otherwise I’ll have to consider closing my BankMobile account and taking my money elsewhere.
Anybody who has given this app a positive review was obviously already a Customers Bank user (as opposed to a BankMobile BOLD user), because I can’t picture a single BankMobile user in their right mind who would actually see this terrible stock app as an improvement over what they had before.

I came over from the Bank Mobile App, I work in IT and make fun of the companies that follow this old baseball driven mentality. It takes about three attempts to realize a mistake and about two more to correct it. (Look it up)
Pray you have a giant keyboard on your phone to not make any mistakes. God forbid you have a passphrase near their 32 character limit. You would think allowing that many characters would make someone realize there's a very high chance for a typo. Jeez!!
Even if you're logged in on a PC, you can't change/unlock your account YOU HAVE TO CALL. (Unless you know your account number and last statement balance by heart)
I've got like 9 "One-Time-Use" security codes from just trying to see if I could attempt to type in my password.
Got locked out twice and spent an hour having to literally call and be on the phone. All together this costs them and me way to much effort and time. I'm switching to a different bank soon, I can't afford BS like this. I miss the well thought out flow of the previous app. Both were reliable banking apps, and one was built for/by humans.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
