What's New in Version 1.7
• Added Closed Captioning support fro some videos
• Fixed some data issues preventing some story sections to load
• Bug fixes
I have to agree with everyone here. I loved the full episodes. I don't mind watching a commercial beforehand, or even watching last nights episodes. I was used to catching yesterday's full episode on this app. When I stopped paying for cable, I tried to find the best mobile news. This app WAS it; and, CBS was typically my go to when I had TV. I'd even pay a small upfront fee for the app for full episodes. But as it is - a waste of my time. I want to play it in the background while doing other tasks - not constantly go back to it to search for 'the rest of the story.'
Full broadcast fix
I previously wrote a scathing review when the last patch failed to restore full broadcast episode functionality. Well, patches are supposed to overwrite (replace) the earlier version ... apparently this one didn't. After deleting and then re-installing from the App Store, it now works perfectly again with full broadcasts.
[iOS 5.1.1, which is the highest version supported by original iPad]
Only partial news stories
There are plenty of news headlines, but only the first couple of paragraphs of each news story is available to read. All stories cut off, and can't figure out how to get access to read any of the full content stories. If the full content isn't available, this is a useless. I'll go back to my usatoday and CNN news apps. This news app will be deleted unless someone can help me figure out how to access the rest of the news story content.
