Useful notifications

I use several different news apps on my phone, but one of the things I like best about the CBSNews app, is that when it sends me a notification, like, "watch live something or other", and I tap on that link, it takes me straight to a live video. No muss, no fuss. On some other news apps, they may pop up a notification of something interesting, but then when I tap on the link, it just takes me to their website, and then I have to search around for the story, which may or may not be easy to find, and it just feels like a big waste of time. So this app gets my thumbs up, for its extremely useful notifications.

Buggy and Annoying

Why won't any of the news apps let you watch the evening news broadcast start to finish, ideally without commercial interruption? Instead we're given segments out of order, and often out of date. Between each segment there are 1 or 2 ads for other CBS programs. I don't mind watching those in exchange for seeing a 20-minute broadcast. And I could live with a commercial break between each segment, provided the ads were all different. But by the third time you see the same sappy ad within a 10-minute period, you're ready to boycott that show for all eternity.

The transition from segment to ad is often buggy, with the same line being repeated several times. Occasionally the segment and the ad alternate short blips, before settling down.

Honestly, the pre-app version was a superior product.

Too much bias now

I used to really like this network but for awhile now I can't even get on without being berated by fake news stories that only give one sided views and facts. I don't even get on it anymore because I can't get real news. They barely verify sources and its a real shame to see such a great news source drawing so many conclusions without facts. Im 19 years old. I shouldn't be this worried about whether or not my media is producing propaganda. I should be out with friends and having a great time. But im sitting here wondering whether or not my government is plotting a war against Russia and why leftists are attacking a black man who thought for himself and supported who he wanted to, in a free country. Is this a free country? Are we free to think what we want? CBS I'm really ashamed of you. Your russia hacking story is the USS Maine of the 21st century. Shame on you. Please go back to honest news.
