Character Chowdown is an educational puzzle game designed to teach players how to read Japanese characters. Troublemaking Nommons will challenge players by making characters players have a difficult time recalling appear more often to reinforce what they are practicing. Designed to be played on the go, Character Chowdown is ready to satiate anyone eager to learn a new language.
Deliciously easy - Players can learn hiragana, katakana, and hundreds of kanji characters in a fun, quick, casual way.
Progressive performance - A sophisticated system recognizes which characters players mastered and which ones they need to work on.
Additional heroes - Heroes and villains from the Disgaea series will make guest appearances in future downloadable content.
Fill up on achievements - Game Center achievements will be awarded for events such as learning all of the characters in a language pack and flicking monsters off the screen.
Say “Hi!” with postcards - Players can create and send digital postcards by decorating Nommons with accessories unlocked by completing language packs. Custom postcards can be shared through a user’s Facebook profile.
Play while playing your favorite songs - We know you have awesome music on your iPod, iPad or iPhone and you can stream music right into Character Chowdown. Start a song using the Music app and switch to Character Chowdown to hear your tunes while playing!
Start learning for free - Katakana, a Japanese language set commonly used for foreign words, will be released for free.

A train to nowhere
Update fixed all the size issues, so now the game is solid. However, there isn't really any goal or progression. You basically just rack up a score till you get bored. A leveling system for each character would be a neat way of feeling some sort of accomplishment, or maybe some sort of shop that has pictures or weapons for the Disgaea characters to unlock (with in-game currency). Without something to work for I feel like I am just digging a big hole in the ground, then filling it back up whenever I exit the game
Also, why is Wi and We in the Katakana level???? They're just about as useful as Roman Numerals.
I like it kinda strange but Its working
I will buy anything NIS. If any NIS games came to IOS I will buy regardless of cost. This game teaches you Japanese while getting score points.
One thing to add!
This game is helping me but I would like some sound effects or music in the game.
