Best App for using Whatsapp on your iPad!

A simple and practical way to connect to the web version of WhatApp with your iPad is using the app “Chat for WhatsApp”.

The free version will always be free but ad-supported.

**This app is NOT affiliated with Whatsapp Inc. or any of its partners** This is an un-official app.

Just like the web version of WhatsApp, the "Chat for WhatsApp" is an extension of your phone, which simply mirror your conversations and messages as they are in your phone device, that means, all your messages remain originally saved on your phone .

To connect, open the "Chat for WhatsApp" and you will see a QR code, simply 'scan' this code using WhatsApp on your phone and you will be logged in. You will find this option within WhatsApp settings on your phone, at "WhatsApp Web" menu.

Your phone must be connected to the internet for the "WhatsApp Messenger is" to work, and in addition, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp is available for your phone.

Our team is working hard to implement more features and improvements as we have in WhatsApp for phone.

Don't pay for no ads; doesn't work

I like having this available for my iPad but I paid for no ads and I still have them. I have contacted the WhatsApp support team repeatedly and they keep telling me their app is free. Thanks, I know that. They asked for social media info and like an idiot I did give them my usernames but nothing came of that either. I still have ads and they have my $2.99. I know it's not a lot of $$ but it's the principal. I see that someone else has this same problem. The app is really pretty good but this is kind of diving me nuts; there have been a few emails back and forth so they do at least respond. In one email I got the response that they don't have an app for the iPad. I sent the email to the support email address listed in the app's 'contact us' tab. What??? Anyway, just beware. I don't know why but those ads at the top bug me and I wanted them gone. I did report this problem to Apple.

This whatsapp is the worst! It force closes at least every two minutes then whatever I was typing I have to do over again after closing and reopening the app. It can't do voice notes and pictures and everything else loads forever I really don't care about the adds because compared to all the other mistakes I don't even know what is the adds. My husband and I decided to give up a phone since we have our first baby coming and buying a house so he has the phone during the day and I have the iPad WhatsApp was my way of staying in contact with my family daily in South Africa since they don't have fast Internet to Skype every day. I really hope they fix these problems it is impossible to work with this WhatsApp you need more patience with this than kids. If I knew this I would never have given up my phone because now I barely speak to my family

Deserve 5 stars for being first, but needs extras for paid users

The developer was the first the realize that the WhatsApp Web interface was legal to be utilized through an app and has breathed new life in to our iPads. I gratefully paid for ad removal. The app just needs to put the logo + controls on the side to not take up any screen real estate. Also for paid users there should be an option to remove the logo and combine the settings gear symbol to the interface in an transparent way. Lastly for paid users the WhatsApp Web screen should be real full screen in both portrait and landscape.
