Ratings and Reviews
This app needs to fix the resolution to allow the screen size to be used properly. It has been almost a year and half since the 12.9 been out! Come on!!
UPDATE: the resolution has been fixed on the 12.9 ipad pro!!! Thank you! Thank you! The paper looks GREAT NOW!
Nowhere near as bad
As they're saying here. Actually very similar to the old app. I did prefer the double page view in the old app but the single page is easier to read. You do need to move the page up a bit to read the bottom 1/4 th if you're reading from the horizontal view. The blue highlights simply are a quick way of bringing you to the full on view of the article. A change but not horrible like people are saying.
Updating this a from a few weeks ago. I've given 5 stars now. The app is better than the old one, easier to read. My earlier complaint about not seeing all of the page is simply fixed by tapping once and all of the other "clutter" disappears.
I really don't understand the issues others are having. It's easier to use than the old app, cleaner and more functionality.
Just like reading the paper!
I've had it!!!!
UPDATE: I am now upgrading my rating from a one star to three stars because it appears that the kinks are out and it now works as expected. I would have given it five stars but it took customer service way too long to respond to my emails.
April 2nd they did an update to the app and I have not been able to receive my paper more than 2 consecutive days. It may show up but u can not download it or the download form will appear the next day. I send emails explaining each incident to no avail. I even tried to call and speak to tech support but that's not allowed; you must email your issue. How's that for customer service for a company hanging on to its existence? I'm calling in my cancellation to my 7 day subscription that I've had since 1984 and will be content with just reading the daily Chicago Tribune. Wonder if someone will contact me then.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
