I have to admit I gulped at the $10 price for this app, since I usually don't spend more than a couple of bucks, and that's on apps for my kid. But, Chirunning doesn't do lame, so I decided to bite the bullet.
I'm a newbie Chirunner, so the guided coaching and videos are perfect. I love the option for body looseners at the beginning of runs. I think my favorite thing, though, are the chi focuses during runs. It's a clear reminder to be mindful and refocus. Just like meditation. Awesome.
Three things for possible improvement: 1) I am slightly perplexed about getting the post-run stretches to automatically start after I've ended a run, 2) I'd prefer if the metronome merely fades in the background during chi focuses rather than turning off completely, and 3) as someone else suggested, a walk/run interval option would be great.
Four stars only because the app is imperfect, but it is 100% worth the $9.99. If you're a Chirunner, it's invaluable.
Great app! Couple of suggestions :)
First of all, this is a great app and well worth the price just for the videos alone. The next best part is being able to listen to the focus reminders on the run.
Couple of suggestions for future releases:
- include autopause setting
- for chi run/walk programs it would be nice to set a custom run/walk interval with a metronome setting for run and another for walk. Also being able to set up different focuses for run and walk would be great too! I keep my phone in a belt while I'm running and it's just too much trouble to adjust manually.

I attended a chi-running clinic this morning. The instructor told me about this application. It is awesome! I love how it walks me through the pre-run body looseners, has the metronome, and reminds me of the focus. I learned so much today and this will help me slowly work on applying it. I haven't run consistently in almost 15 years and I am excited to start up again with the confidence that my body won't keep breaking down like it did before.
