CHOICES THAT MATTER is a collection of epic text adventure games similar to the classic Choose Your Own Adventure books (CYOA).

New content is written and delivered weekly, making our stories the most complex in the CYOA category. No one player can discover the entire story in a single play through. See how many other players visited the same place as you, each time you conclude a story arc.

Are you ready for the most epic text based game out there?

This story is ongoing and updated weekly!

"What’s really innovative about Choices...unlike traditional gamebooks that have a definite end, Choices: And the Sun Went Out is a continuing gamebook that will be updated weekly, allowing you to progress through the story over time. As you make choices in your story, it will advance in ways completely differently than other readers when weekly content is added." -

My favorite CYOA game

This app is just perfect. It encompasses 3 stories right now. I read “and their heroes were lost” first before going back to “and the sun went out.” I love how you get so many choices. Sometimes, you don’t have the information to make an educated choice, and I love that because it’s how the situation would actually be in you were there. The writers really carve out a realistic and believable world for the stories. The music is suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I also loved the fact that you can watch a ton of ads to get 3 tickets which is very generous. Although some may say the interface isn’t developed enough as other episodic games, I actually love the simple interface more. It lets you concentrate on the story, the plot, and your imagination rather than cementing how people or situations look. I like a little imaginative space.
Nothing but rave compliments for this app!! Definitely buy if you love CYOA games!

Watch tips, Really amazing story, fair systems

(Update) I just finished «and the sun went out» for the first time and let me tell you IT WAS AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER FROM START TO FINISH. I’m replaying it now to see if I can figure out the full story. A+ game, would recommend. It has great storytelling, fair systems, and it is probably my favorite I phone
game ever
««APPLE WATCH»» if you want to use your Apple Watch, go to settings on the app and turn on Apple Watch

(Original) I love the game, it’s a lot of fun and a great story. I’ve only gotten through most of « and the sun went out » but im hooked.
There is a fair system for making money. there are « choice tickets » you use one choice ticket every time you make a choice. To gain them you can either wait, watch ads, or purchase them. I will usually just watch a ton of ads when I am doing something else (like watching tv) until I have about 100 tickets, then play until im almost out.

Cyoa but the choices rock

I have so far completed arcs one and two of the sun went out, and I LOVE this game so far. The plot is riveting and the writing flows really well. The choices are my favorite. They are so balanced, and sometimes hard to make. I have always loved the concept behind cyoa but sometimes got bugged when the choices would have nothing to do with the results of said choices. But this game gets that right. And don’t be turned away at the thought of in app purchases! They feed you choice tickets in enough other ways for you to easily make it through without spending a dime. They do this through ads and by giving freebies as time passes.

I’ve completed all 13+ arcs (think episodes) of the sun went out, and the plot twists get SO JUICY!

In short, IT’S AMAZING PLAY IT ASAP! Think hooking tv show, but you read it, and it’s interactive.
