A chance encounter amid the festivities of Guardia's Millennial Fair in Leene Square introduces our young hero, Crono, to a girl by the name of Marle. Deciding to explore the fair together, the two soon find themselves at an exhibition of the Telepod, the latest invention by Crono's longtime friend Lucca. Marle, fearless and brimming with curiosity, volunteers to assist in a demonstration. An unanticipated malfunction, however, sends her hurtling through a rift in the dimensions. Taking hold of the girl's pendant, Crono bravely follows in pursuit. But the world into which he emerges is the one of four centuries before. Journey to the forgotten past, the distant future, and even to the very End of Time. The epic quest to save a planet's future makes history once again.
Active Time Battle Version 2
During battle, time will not stop, and you can enter commands when the character's gauge is full. The enemies' positions will change as time passes, so choose your actions based on any given situation.
‘Tech’ moves and combos
During battle, you can unleash special ‘Tech’ moves, including abilities and/or magic and characters can combine these abilities to unleash all new combo attacks which are unique to them. There are over 50 different types of combos that you can execute between two and three characters!

The Dimensional Vortex: a mysterious, ever-changing dungeon existing outside of space and time. What wonders await you at its center? Graphics and sound
While keeping the atmosphere of the original, the graphics have been updated in higher resolution. As for the sound and music, under the supervision of composer Yasunori Mitsuda, all songs have been updated for an even more immersive gameplay experience.
In addition to saving at a save point or choosing to quit from the menu, your progress is saved automatically while traversing the map.

-Enemies can now be targeted by tapping, in addition to flicking/swiping, when using Techs that attack in a line or from a central point.
-Fixed instances where the game slowed down during certain scenes.
Ratings and Reviews
This is my favorite game, but I have some ideas to make it better,
I wanna go find his mom at the end of the game, I wanna know what happens to schala I wanna know about the baby lucca found, I wanna be able to go to the saved future. The ending is super ambiguous and I wish there was more to it. Like a playable epilogue. I’ve played this game over and over again since o was 6. Probably atleast 3 times a year every year. I started on the snes version, played the ds version and now i play the mobile version. It was just this year I discovered the new dungeons. The new enemy as well. I want to be able to play the saved future. I wanna know what daltons plans are and I want to defeat him. I wanna see if magus/Janus can save schala, to see what the baby who popped up is and why they’re important. And also to go and find chronos mom since at the end she goes into the gate for the cat. There’s so many things, if you guys could add a playable epilogue with all of those things you would seriously be making a girls dream come true. Or just add new “levels” and extend the game to find out all of the mysteries. I know there are sequels but I’ve heard they don’t do much for the plot of Chrono Trigger. This game is everything to me, if I had the money I’d literally fund all of this lol.
A fine port.
I enjoy this game. I played CHRONO trigger back in the day on the gba and recall being very absorbed into the story. It was one of the few rpgs at the time that immersed me all the way through. Now this port, this update, with its “hd” upgrade is quite subjective. Do I prefer the old art or the new one, seems to be the debate. Honestly, I like the original sprites. Despite the new one with it’s issues like blocky texture lines everywhere, I enjoy the contrast of the colors; the old one has a very vintage look that would be cool to swap back to. The core game is still here, I’ve yet to run into any glitches (the guy that reviewed about not being able to return the cat, just walk up to it and it’ll follow you, don’t tap the screen/press anything or it’ll run away). I do hope they continue to support this game throughout the years for it is a timeless classic, this update is very welcome and hopefully we’ll see more of these every now and then to keep it running on future phones. Running on an iPhone 6s.
