Chronos is the best way to understand how you're spending your life. See where you’ve been and who you’ve spent time with, all without lifting a finger. You can also set goals and track progress, helping you to align the life you’re living with the life you’d like to live.
We built Chronos because we often found that we’d get to the end of the week and feel exhausted, but didn’t have a great sense of where our time was actually going. We wanted to make sure that we were prioritizing the people and things most important to us.
Chronos runs in the background on your phone, to automatically capture every moment. Persistent location monitoring is core to the functionality of the application and for best results WiFi and location services should be enabled.
- No manual entry needed
- Your time is auto-categorized (e.g., sleep, home, work, social, exercise, in-transit, etc.)
- See where and how much time you spend with each of your friends
- Look at your day in the map view and see how long you spend at various locations
- Automatically track progress towards personal goals (e.g., sleep more than 8 hours each night)
****** Note: Chronos currently only supports European-style numerals (e.g., 1,2,3)
Note: continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. You can toggle Chronos' location services at any time in your phone's main Settings menu, and toggling the accuracy in Chronos’s settings.
What's New in Version 2.2.7
- Quicker refresh on main list view
- WiFi reminder for more accurate location
Really cool app!
One of my coworkers was using this the other day, and I glanced over and saw this cool view of his commute that day. I started talking to him about it and he said he uses it to figure out how much time he spends in traffic, but I actually find myself using it to combat sleeplessness. I recently got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and was already prone to poor sleep, so now I use this to figure out how much sleep I’ve gotten over the course of a week. Like it much more than needing to wear a wristband or remember to turn it on each night or off each morning. Cool product.
Very cool app to see what you’ve been up to
It’s a nice feeling to know where your hours are going, and that’s what this does for me. I had been trying to make time to go to the gym more often, and I realized I hadn’t been in over two weeks. I set the goal to go more and sure enough, I hit my target of three times last week. Next I’m going to work on my sleep, because lord knows we could all use a couple more Z’s. I like looking back at a week and remember where I ate lunch, where I traveled, and mostly just seeing how I’m spending my life.
This app automatically keeps track of everything you’re doing doing the course of the day. It’s been super helpful to keep track of how much time I’ve spent sleeping and also how much time I spend in the car. Makes you realize time is a valuable resource. Great for life logging!
