••• Cinch is compatible with macOS 10.12 Sierra •••

Cinch gives you simple, mouse or trackpad-driven window management by defining the left, right, and top edges of your screen as 'hot zones'. Drag a window until the cursor hits one of these zones then drop the window to have it cinch into place.

Cinching to the left or right edges of the screen will resize the window to fill half the screen, allowing you to easily compare two windows side-by-side (splitscreen).

Cinching to the top edge of the screen will maximize the window to fill the entire screen (fullscreen).

Dragging a window away from its cinched position will restore the window to its original size.

Cinch Continues Its Success!

The first time I used Cinch was back in 2012 when I owned a a 2007 macbook for the first time. The computer was great but one of the first things that pained me and I immediately needed was a feature that mirrored Windows snap. I could not live without this and needed it for every day use because it makes anything so much simplier and better managed. I cannot imagine NOT having this feature on any computer I'm using. To my suprise there was Cinch in the app store so I downloaded it to give the app a shot. It served its purpose, is well made, and I used the free version on multiple mac's I've had over the years.

I just finished building one of my most recent macbook's and the first app I went to download is Cinch. I saw that it was $6.99 but I did not bat an eye. This app has served me well for a number of years and I give it full support, one of the best ever!!!

Time-tested, works as expected 100%

This was a must-have app that made the transition from PC a lot less painless. That was 5 years ago for me, and cinch has been working perfectly the entire time.

I eventually learned to appreciate the “Mac way” and abandoned my PC habits years ago… but window snapping just makes sense. When I upgraded my MacBook yesterday, this was the first app I downloaded. I couldn’t imagine owning a Mac without it, so I thought they deserved a review.

A productivity Diamond!

Mr. Luigi

Cinch is a FAR more user friendly, and functional, way to manage windows than Sierra’s clumsy native window management feature. As such, it is more than worth its modest cost. To be honest, I can’t believe Apple does not include something like Cinch as a built-in part of macOS because of the way it dramatically enhances product. Can not imagine using my Macs without the functionality provided by Cinch. Bravo Developers!
