Introducing Wire
• We're so stoked about this feature. Wire is a new area of the app that consists of two things: a personalized Daily Brief from our editorial staff, and updates to stories that you may already be following.
• Now we make your followed updates super easy to read quickly by putting everything you haven't seen yet into a single fast-reading page.
Dynamic Daily Brief
• The President of the United States doesn’t need to read the news, he’s briefed on only the things that demand his attention. We figured why shouldn't everyone have that? Our editors will carefully curate the most meaningful stories of the day so you can have a Daily Brief delivered at a time that you choose!
Search
• By far the most requested feature since we launched nearly two years ago and it's finally here! Search for stories that matter to you and give them a follow.
Customize topics
• You can now customize your main screen and Wire to only see the things you care most about – turn on or off any topic you'd like!
Filter Breaking News Alerts
• Don't want to see a sports-related breaking news alert? Just turn it off! We've made it really easy for you to tell us what news you want alerts about.
New ways to share
• Highlight any text you'd like to share and it will pop that text right in the message, with a link directly to that point!
• Now supporting iOS 8 sharing – any app that has external sharing features will now show up such as Instapaper, Tumblr, and Flipboard.

#1 News app by far, and still improving
I have used almost all popular news apps including CNN, FOX, Pulse, NY Times, Associated Press, Flipboard, and Drudge Report and this is by far the best one. The new "wire" feature is amazing and delivers a brief summary of all the main news stories for the day at whatever time you choose. Do you want your news delivered to you at 8 am? Boom! You got it! The quality and clarity of information is great. The articles get right to the point and deliver you key facts instead of being wishy washy about what the main details are. And they constantly update their articles with new information as the stories unfold. And if you "follow" a certain story you'll get notifications as soon as it updates. If you love to stay up to date with news and are looking for a good quality, unbiased news source, then GET THIS APP!
Hate the new update
This was one of my favorite apps before. I used it every day in lieu of any other news source just to stay abreast of what was going on. They did have too many typos before but I overlooked them. However, this new update is awful. The pictures take up the entire background making it difficult to read and there are way less stories on a "page" so quick scanning of the news is now less "quick". Now, I actually get a little motion-sick when I scroll through the app to catch up on recent stories because of this change so I've stopped using the app altogether. I also sent feedback directly before posting this and their response was that they are not going back to the old style. Such a disappointment- I just want the news. They should have put their energy into proofing articles and reducing typos instead of worrying about the graphics. I'm off to find a new app for the news. It's a shame.
Cutting through the noise
So there are many news apps out there, but with Circa you get to follow the news that you care about and receive updates on a story. I love that they give you different options if you want to deep dive in a story. Plus they also give you the daily top news. I have used this app for years and I am always impressed with the clean layout and the great content. I was lucky enough to be on a beta team for this update, it was refreshing to see all of our concerns about the layout and function of it taken into account. This app streamlines the news you want to hear about so that you can cut through all the daily news that you just to want to read anymore.
