Home networking just got easier. When connected to your home Wi-Fi, use the Cisco Connect Express App to add devices to your network, manage guest access, and change Wi-Fi and router information. Now Linksys E-Series, X-Series and Valet router users can have their real-time network information at their fingertips from anywhere in the home.
Guest access – An easy way for visitors to get online. Give password-protected Internet access to visiting friends and family while keeping your own information private. No need to remember the guest password, it’s in the app. Simply email the password to your guest and they’ll be online in no time.
Add devices to your network – Quickly connect your computers, gaming consoles, tablets, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices to your network. You can add them manually, or with Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ if your device supports it.
Access Wi-Fi settings – Access your network name and password at anytime from anywhere in your home. If you need your password to add a device manually, quickly access it via your app.
Access router features – Keep your router up-to-date. Check for firmware updates and view details about your router, including model name and number, serial number, firmware version, and more. Plus, easily get a new WAN IP address or reboot your router.
Disclaimer: An active, customer purchased Internet Service Provider broadband account is required for connection of your router and other connected computers and devices to the Internet.

Features cut short that...
...could make it more convenient! For general informational purposes this is a simple but stable app. Access control features are incomplete. If you choose to use Mac address access controls on the router this supersedes guest access and quick connect features. Without the ability to manage mac address access controls, or at least switch it off while guests are around, these features are redundant and you have to revert to the web console. The ability to apply the global off / on or deny / allow mac address switch would be a simple but useful feature, if general mac address management is not on the cards.
Held my tongue long enough
I own a few EA6500s. All the apps are great but I have to reset my routers ever 3 weeks to use them. ( all my routers are on different isolated networks). The router works great but cannot be managed after 3 weeks so there for the apps are no good. This has been going on for 6 months. This device list in the routers are not cataloging the MAC address right and after 3 weeks I get a couple hundred devices in the list. Strange thing thing is my network is locked and only has 20 devices or so. I have contacted Cisco support many times and in many ways and have heard nothing. The concept is awesome for the type of business I own but sad to say I started looking for a different router today with similar functionality.
Solid app, needs some tweaking.
Once you get it to work, which can be a pain, it's a very nice app. I had to reboot my router before the app would work with it. Once I got the kinks worked out it runs like a dream. I like being able to see what devices are on my network and how they are connected. It's nice to be able to make admin level changes from you iOS device.
