What's New in Version 11.6.1
- Stability Improvements
Just downloaded and tested the May 4th release, then it appears there was a May 8th release. I'm a big fan of Jabber using it for IM, telephone and video calls. The new UI changes of round avatars is a nice touch. Love the apple watch feature - of course it requires an apple watch. URI (e-mail format) dialing to call standards based video systems is great. In addition to IM, I use it like a corporate directory from my iphone.
Battery consumption is high
While the app is averahe to good, besides the audio issues while another sound is generated (like notifications from other apps, or even calendar events), the battery is going very fast to a very low level. I think the app should be optimized or i will give up using it. It is not ok to have 38% consumption reported by the iphone due to the background activities if only this app.
Good Work App
The only issue is that it does not use your phone to make phone calls. If you are on a call you use the app and a call comes in on your cell it holds your Jabber call without warning. Google Voice uses the phone which is better. Please fix this soon.
