Please note that the app requires data access and works best with GPS / location on. Also, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Background GPS is only used when in ‘GO' navigation mode.
What's New in Version 6.18
More transit modes on the homescreen. One tap to find anything nearby.
Improvements to GO, especially for walking. If you've gone the wrong way (or deliberately chosen to disobey) you can now tap refresh to update your route. Tap the compass to 'help-me-figure-out-which-way-I'm-facing'. Other than that, walking still works the same- one foot, then the other.

Almost perfect, Some minor glitches
I use this in NYC subways and buses when I'm literally running down the street and into the subways. This is the only app so far that appears to have real time train and bus times. I don't know for sure where they get their data but it seems to match the MTA real time information. Other apps that I use seem to get their data from pre-written time tables which, in NYC, is absolute BS.
On the Apple Watch I've been on the street and seen the app match the approaching bus. I've been underground and seen the app match the exact time that the trains are coming and, as we know, city trains follow no schedule.
For some reason the app won't sync my saved locations from my phone to the Apple Watch. The app on the phone works solid but the Watch version has a few hang ups for now

I recently came back from my first NYC trip and this app literally guided me all around New York, being a Texas native myself i have never ridden a subway before i was very intimidated but Citymapper was there to help me! The step by step directions helped so much!

This app is so useful and easy to use. It's an awesome addition to your phone. I highly recommend it.
