What's New in Version 5.19
Vast improvements to Search. It's much faster. When you type, it's like zoom.
And it's more comprehensive. You will find everything. Everything. But for whatever reason if you don't (which you won't), then we also have DeepSearch which (you will not have to use since you will have already found what you're looking for but if you haven't (which you will) then it) will look even deeper to find whatever you seek.
Search results include 'show on map' so you can see multiple results on the map, and pick the one you want.
Easily save and share locations right after search. Did we mention that search is now faster, leaving you with spare time to save and share your search with loved ones or strangers, the choice is yours.
We will only show SmartCommute in your home city. Assuming we get your home city right, which we may not, in which case you can go into settings and change it. Unless you don't wish to, in which case carry on.

Customer Reviews
Beware
I searched for a route to a store roughly 5 miles from my home. Citymapper gave me four suggestions; the fastest route would get me there in 187 minutes and the longest would take about FOUR HOURS. Yes, to get to a shop that is five miles away, Citymappers celebrated algorithm instructs travelers to ride a bus PAST THE STORE'S CROSS STREET TO THE END OF THE LINE, then walk back for TWO HOURS to the address. And that's the short route...the others told me to take a bus then a train to a town several miles BEYOND the town the store is located in and walk back for over AN HOUR. Total travel time: 271 minutes. You read that right. I thought it was a joke. It wasn't.
Luckily I checked their competitor, Transitapp and got the accurate route-eta 25 minutes, one bus ride and a 2 minute walk.
I have sent three emails and tweeted them of the error, receiving no response to anything. And guess what, they have NOT corrected those errors. And now they are bragging about their "new and improved" searches in the app's new version - I feel if they can screw up with this, who knows how many similar mistakes are costing unsuspecting travelers wasted time and money around the world. That's what gets me about this, and their utter indifference to their users. Bottom line, check Transitapp before you follow Citymapper's directions.....beware.
#1 subway/travel map
This app will forever be on my phone because I am certain no other navigational app can top it. I love it for the NYC subway because it is easy to use and incredibly accurate. It gives you all the necessary information to navigate the streets and subways of NY to make you feel like you lived there your whole life. I love how it tells me which exit to walk out of and all the different transportation options. This is one of the best apps!!
NYC Navigation Easy
Have visited NYC many times but this time I had Citymapper and it was such a time saver and made our trip so much more enjoyable because we didn't get lost! Found out about this application from Flipboard the day we arrived! It recommended available options including cost, time and location so you can pick! Highly recommend this application! This traveler LOVES it!
