Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, winner of 15 E3 awards including Best Strategy Game, is the next entry in the popular Civilization franchise, which has sold in over 35 million units worldwide, including more than 8 million units of Civilization V.
Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game in which you attempt to build an empire to stand the test of time. Become Ruler of the World by establishing and leading a civilization from the Stone Age to the Information Age. Wage war, conduct diplomacy, advance your culture, and go head-to-head with history’s greatest leaders as you attempt to build the greatest civilization the world has ever known.
Civilization VI offers new ways to engage with your world: cities now physically expand across the map, active research in technology and culture unlocks new potential, and competing leaders will pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race for one of five ways to achieve victory in the game.

•Multiple bug fixes.
I am a longtime Civilization fan, from Civ II forward. As such, I may be biased in favor of the franchise. I bought this almost as soon as it came out, and was very disappointed. However, each update significantly improves playability and balance. I don’t know if y’al recall, but Civ V was the same way. I didn’t like Civ V at first, but they improved it over a few years such that it is now a great game. There’s no question that Civ VI still needs gameplay enhancements, but the basic setup is fun, with good replayability. I am running it on a Mac Pro 5,1 12-core 3.46 GHz with 48 GB ra, a 7970 video card from MacVidCards, and a 30” Apple Cinema Display (2440 by 1600), and I don’t have any problems with graphics. If I totally max out the settings, it takes a little longer between turns. I would be interesting if anyone is playing with an Nvidia graphics card.
Fun game but need improvement
I wish the feature like production queue can be integrated. When you have an empire of 30+ cities, it is just a pain to click through 15+ productions every turn. Also, for district production, like commercial investment, etc., why can we not just pick one and have it be that way until we want to produce units or buildings, like we can with civ v’s wealth or science? In my opinion, the game would be so much more enjoyable if these two features are built into!
I had to lower graphics quality because game kept getting hung up, running slowly and in herky-jerky manner. Now, after Turn # 436, as I am about to achieve final vistory, game crashes as soon as I hit “Next Turn” button. Save you money until Aspyr fixes these lethal bugs. This game should not have been released until it was more thoroughly field-tested. Very disappointed and embarrassed that I wasted $60 on this.
