For only $2 bucks, this visually & informationally-full app is a steal!

I love this app. Downloaded & installed it just the other day. I did find it odd that I didn’t see it in my list of Screensavers in the Display Preferences but rather, it ran as an app bypassing & apparently circumventing the existing screensaver I had set up (Ken Burns’ pictures). What’s most amazing to me about this SS when it activates is seeing the gigantic world globe with the cities I entered into my list showing as pinpoints, & the pinpoints progressively changing every 5 seconds or so, with the globe, which shows the continents, moving over to the next pinpoint to the next city in my list, showing lots of weather information about each of those cities as they each show up movie-style.
So overall, great job, Clear Day devolopers! Beautiful & fascinating visual elements... Now…. Any way you think you could get your screensaver to show up in the Display/Screensaver Preferences window as a strictly Apple-like screensaver, a Quart type I suppose it would have to be? Other than that, I like your app a lot. Very similar to the slightly more visually detailed Windows’ Yowindow but still, beautiful work. Thanks!

Finally got it working.

I finally got it working it’s been 3 or 4 months since I purchased it. If you’re having problems with the app for example if it has problems even launching check your file system with Disk Utility and see if it’s a “case sensitive” file system. I switch from "case sensitive” back to OS X default of “case insensitive” which I hate but after the re-install the app launched. I didn’t re-install just to get this app working I decided to do it because my Mac was running on 4 years up OS X upgrades so I figured it was time to clean house.

I’m kind of disappointed, it’s extremely underwhelming compared to the Clear Day app itself. It would be nice if there were more options for example to show the videos of the current weather condition for the city being displayed, but instead it just spins the globe to the city and displays weather stats. Honestly for all the it does I’m not sure why it needs to run as in independent app instead of a screen saver in the preference panel.

This is an good reason for Apple to allow “trial/demo” periods for software. Had I know it was so crash prone prior to buying it I wouldn’t have purchased it. Also one of the “preference” is an advertisement for the “Clear Day” app.

Best screensaver I’ve seen yet

This is honestly the best screensaver I’ve seen yet. This is very aesthetic, and quite impressive! This is something I would expect to see on all of the devices in an Apple store. It’s responsive, smooth, sleek, and fun.

Only one (if not a “con”, more of a concern really)… I notice that on my Macbook Pro 15” Retina 2013 laptop, the Nvidia display card is triggered and stays activated as long as the screensaver is loaded. The Intel card never gets used anymore, as long as the screensaver application is loaded on my system. If I exit out of it from the status bar, which is to say that the screensaver no longer kicks in when the system is idle according to settings, the Intel card goes back into use.
