Just a few more options needed, some wishes answered
First off this app is amazing. I love using it, and I realize its simplicity is one if its charms. I have but 3 suggestions, requests or begs...1) please allow each list to have its own color. This would make them stand out and be easier to choose from. 2) find a way to be able to easily move items from one list to another. 3) Have an undo for when you inadvertently swipe an item to the left and it disappears forever! I have done this more then a few times and not even seen what the item was before it was lost, not a good feeling. That's it and Clear would be perfect.
Issue 3 has been addressed. And I still do love this app. It’s my exterior brain. I also have a simple little trick that increased utility for me: In any list create a one line item that consists of only dashes. Then you can use this “bar” to divide the list for any number of reasons. I frequently use it as, above bar needs to happen today.
To do lists and lists for me have to be fun or I'll be gone soon. Clear folks knew this from the start. They offer a lot. Easy prioritization, free form notes, easy reminders, cross device syncing, fun sounds that confirm an addition, check off, emphasis on colors. Lots more. IOS and MBP versions are a little different in operation and can confuse-- a little. iOS versions also call for a variety of hand motions and swipes that can be hard to remember,, especially Lin a rush. To boot the program's reliable responses to these motions don't always happen and suddenly the program itself becomes a problem, which screws up concentration, in the moment. But theyll iron that out (or someone else's product will). The basic flexible fun concept however is key for those of us who need to be organized but also need to have fun doing it-- adhd, perpetual kid types. You who need to be entertained to get anything done know who you are. I value the program and recommend it.
I wanna give the developers credit, I realllyyyy do! But I simply can't due to inconsistent syncing and not a whole lot of answers to our requested features.
Remember reminders? Oh yeah, no, because you don't use them, because they go away after one notification and then you have to manually rewind, and oh right, they're useless. I love to hate the iOS reminders app but it's simply way more functional! This design flaw also extends to the widget. Want to have a grocery list in your notification shade? Well you're gonna have to manually input a reminder time. For. Every. Single. List. Item
We've asked for this consistently, over and over and over, but anytime you ask "We'll take this into consideration in the next update"...2 years ago.
You know how the sync is horrible and you keeping asking for them to fix it? Good luck getting that done anytime soon!
Want new features like Spotlight search, 3D Touch or Split Screen Multitasking? You can keep that thought in the back burner for the next few years.
For now you can have Siri set a reminder of a clear reminder to place your clear reminder in the reminder app to be reminded, how frigg'n convenient, wouldn't it be nice if we could have i dunno... repeating reminders within the app? That sounds waaaay too time consuming.
This app is elegant and simple, it used to be useful, but is bogged down by inconsistent search, rarely any feature updates, and no answers to our many requests.
I've had enough.
