HELP EVERY CHILD ACHIEVE WRITING SUCCESS
Students tap words in the grid to build sentences in the simple word processor, then hear each sentence automatically spoken aloud as they complete it, helping them to identify any mistakes and make corrections. Learners can even hear words before they write them, helping them to find the word they want and achieve writing success.
USE ANY SEQUENCE OF SENTENCES
Set up any sequence of sentences for your learners in a few seconds by simply typing or pasting them in. What’s more, get free, ready-made Sentence Sets via our LearningGrids site, which is fully accessible from within the app!
PROVIDE DIFFERENTIATED SUPPORT
Numerous support options ensure that students of all abilities are given the right level of challenge to experience success:
- For students just getting started with writing, show the completed sentence as a model on the grid, so they can copy it word-for-word.
- A model sentence in a popup enables the students to see the sentence, but not copy it. The popup must be closed before they write.
- A spoken model means the student can listen to the sentence, but not see it.
- Automatically randomize the words on the grid, or provide additional support by showing them in the correct sentence order.
USE PICTURES FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AND MOTIVATION
Adding a picture to each sentence provides students with an additional cue. Choose pictures from your photo library, snap them with your iPad camera, or select one from the Crick Picture Library. The pictures can be sent into the document too, helping students when they are reading their work back.
CRICK PICTURE LIBRARY NOW INCLUDED
NEW - the acclaimed Crick Picture Library is now included with the app! Browse or search the carefully categorized pictures to add child-friendly support to your Sentence Sets. Our Picture Library contains over 2,500 curriculum-related pictures, drawn by our own artist.
WRITING TO BE PROUD OF
The child-friendly Sassoon font included in the app makes Clicker Sentences documents look great on-screen and on paper. Print your work to any Airprint-compatible printer, or share it via email, AirDrop, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or WebDAV. Whatever your students’ current level, watch their confidence grow and their motivation soar as they experience writing success!

Ratings and Reviews
I'm happy it's finally hear!
I have been waiting for this to come out and it is finally here. As an AT professional and a parent who uses Clicker 6, I was dying to see what it would look like. I am glad that Crick split up activities into two separate apps. My son uses this app to help him write about daily activities. It is quick, easy and portable and it makes it easy to do on the spot instead of logging on to the computer, signing in...etc. I am still learning how to use it but the portability on the iPad makes it a great purchase at an affordable price. I like that you can still change the voices, customize the settings for the child and that it can grow with them as they master the lower settings. I am really excited about all the possibilities. Thanks Crick!
Excellent tool for kindergarten word processing
So far we've been using the app one week in two kindergarten classrooms. I have used the PC version of Clicker while with young children in the Netherlands and really found it a powerful tool for primary grade children to write.
One thing I would like to see added is to be able to copy the work into another application. This one allows them to type with ease using the word banks. We would like to move the text into a book creator program for publishing. Right now that is too complicated for the children to do on their own.
Not as great as computer version
After using clicker 5 with many students and bemoaning the fact that there was no app for clicker, cricksoft finally comes out with one. I hemmed and hawed about getting the first version, but went for it! Some of my thoughts
Pros: heck- it's CLICKER! So many of my kids now use iPads for writing that this was a well needed app!
It is easy to use (once you figure it out)
Being able to connect to learning grid
Cons: hard to figure out. I have had it for two weeks and I am still trying to learn it all the way
Can't add pics to word banks
Can't change size of boxes
Basically not as much flexibility as online program
All in all I am okay with it. I look forward to seeing other people's thoughts and how it continues to develop.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
