This is a very simple app that uses basic physics to tell you the height of a cliff or the depth of a well. All you do is time how long it takes for the object to hit the ground and let science do the rest. You can even measure the height of a cliff from the ground if you throw a rock right up to the top and start timing at the apex. This app was created by Science/Design/Creativity YouTuber Mark Rober.
Ratings and Reviews
I often measure heights by counting the seconds myself. This is much better and more accurate. It’d be great if this one-trick pony could learn more tricks, including:
1. Distance to a lightning strike (or any other flash/puff of smoke to sound combination).
2. Height of objects from beneath. This is the opposite measure. One trick is to position yourself 45 degrees from the top and then pace off the distance to the object. The pace distance is the height.
Great accurate app
You know what makes this app good, Mark Rober made it. This apps is used to measure the height of something using time. It is a very accurate app. The only thing that’s makes it not accurate is our human hands trying to turn the time off in time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Very cool but needs to be more precise
I love this app but I wish it could be more precise, like one or two extra significant figures would make the results a little bit better. I was brought to this app by Mark Rober. Cool guy :)
