Description

Newton is a subscription-based service that supercharges your email with power features like Read Receipts, Snooze, Send Later, Undo Send, Sender Profile, Connected Apps and more across iPhone, iPad, iPad Pro, Apple Watch and Mac. Comes with a 14-day free trial.

Newton is available as an in-app subscription for $49.99/year. That's about $4/mo for something that you use dozens of times everyday.

Works with Gmail, Exchange, Yahoo Mail, Outlook, iCloud, Google Apps, Office 365 and all IMAP accounts.

*What happens after 14 days*

Push notifications & power features like Read Receipts, Snooze, Send Later & more stop working. Email sync will also stop i.e. you won't get new emails automatically. Not an experience we recommend.

*Sign Up Once, Use Everywhere*

Your Newton account is your key to all things Newton. Use it to instantly access your email anytime, across ALL your devices. It’s that simple.

*How Newton supercharges your email*

● Instant push notifications for ALL types of email, including Gmail, Hotmail, Exchange, Yahoo Mail, iCloud, Google Apps, Office 365 and any IMAP account.

● Read Receipts - Get read-status for every email you send. Also get notified as soon as the emails are read. Know exactly who read your email with individual mail tracking. Not a fan of email tracking? Switch it off from Settings.

● Send Later - Schedule emails to be sent later and have them delivered to the recipient’s inbox at just the right moment. Also, you can stop the scheduled email if the recipient emails you in between.

● Sender Profile - Know more about the people who email you. Get job titles, organisation info, location, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter profiles & more. Send better emails by knowing the context and background of the sender.

● Snooze - Set your emails to come back to Inbox at a more convenient time. Got an important email while travelling? Just Snooze to Desktop and deal with it only when you’re ready. Snooze emails, not productivity.

● Connected Apps - Finish your workflow without leaving your email. Add important emails to your favorite productivity apps like Todoist, Evernote, OneNote, Pocket, Trello, Wunderlist, Instapaper, Zendesk, Salesforce & Asana.

● Undo Send - Pull back that email blunder you just sent. Especially useful when you’re on mobile and need to reply in a hurry. For all the times you sent ‘Retards’ instead of ‘Regards’.

● 2-factor authentication - Protect your Newton account with both your password & phone.

● One-click Unsubscribe - Instantly unsubscribe from unwanted email newsletters.

● Easily manage your emails from Inbox View with one-click actions: Archive, Delete, Mark as Read/Unread

● Quick Filters - Find important emails with one-click Starred and Unread filters.

● Handoff - Effortlessly hand off what you’re doing on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch to Mac.

● Language support - English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Greek and Ukrainian.

● Keyboard shortcuts that get things done quickly.

Customer Reviews

Five stars, but with one glaring problem.

For minimalists and users who want an absolutely beautiful user interface, Newton is what you’ve always wanted. It’s well designed, but still does almost everything a complex email app achieves. It’s not perfect, but since app features are subjective, it probably never will be. I am a Gmail user so I wish it supported all the Gmail keyboard shortcuts. The only flaw Newton has, and I’m so afraid the developers won’t fix it, is an incorrect badge count of new email messages. With newton, if you mark a message as UNREAD and it has 20 emails in it, then you’ll see 20 as the badge count of new waiting email messages. This really needs to be addressed so it works like other email apps. I should be able to mark “only” one email message in a thread as UNREAD so the badge count would be 1. Even the Gmail web interface allows for this.

Overall I love Newton! Yes, $50/year is a lot to pay for an email app, but I spend so much of my day using email, I feel I should be using the app I like the most, regardless of price. I’m betting (and hoping) their business model eventually succeeds. Right now they’re continuing to develop the app and providing wonderful tech support, something rarely found these days, regardless of an app price.

Great Email App

I have 6 email accounts for various reasons, 4 gmail, 1 imap through work, and 1 through Office365 for another work. I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t find an app that wouldn’t pull my gigs and gigs from my email server, clogging up my Macbook. And switching accounts in a browser was slow and clumsy. I used google browser accounts for the gmail, but I had to find something else for the 2 other accounts.
Then I found Newton. Not only do I love the clean message view, but the entire interface is beautiful to use on my Mac, my iPad, and my iPhone. It is the best app I have found for manipulating emails across servers and platforms without downloading all the messages.
One of my favorite features is that it automatically changes the email account used for sending an email based on who the receipient is. It is like it knows which one I want to use for each contact.
And when I recently had an issue (because I didn’t know what I was doing) their customer support answered my email in less than 20 minutes and were very helpful.
I would absolutely recommend this for anyone with multiple email accounts.

Newton Defies Gravity

Newton Mail is the best email app I’ve ever used. While others such as Outlook, Airmail and even Mac Mail weigh you down with boring design, Newton lets you fly! At least, that’s how I feel after using Newton Mail on an iMac and iPhone for two weeks. It took me a day or two to understand the design concepts, and then, finally: brilliant! Nothing seems forced. Icons appear just when and where you need them. The overall design looks clean and feels coherent. This is particularly noticeable on my iPhone with it’s limited screen space. Newton Mail seems to “flow” quickly from one thing to another without much effort. I liked the look of Spark Email, but for me, Newton Mail is more beautiful and offers functions you can’t find elsewhere. For example, today I asked Newton to notify me when a recipient had read my email, and it worked: brilliant! Also, Newton's customer support is terrific! I was getting answers to my emailed questions within minutes on a Sunday afternoon! So, why feel weighed down by email (as I did) when Newton Mail can let you fly? It’s worth it.
