Cloze is creepy

After seeing an advert for Cloze on Facebook, I was sold on the idea. I'd love to have my contacts regularly updated and have a system for keeping track of my opportunities to do business with others. I loaded Cloze, allowed the links to LinkedIn and Evernote and then Cloze went about making a bunch of improper connections in my data. I wouldn't have been put off if it had been a bit more friendly about the process, but I immediately got the feeling that some corporate overlord was grabbing my contacts and data and it was clear from the connections it was making it didn't know who was important and who was not in my world. I found the setup process insufficiently informative and it looked like it was going to create more work than it was going to solve. I unlinked my accounts and deleted the app. I think there is a real business problem to solve. I just think Cloze forgot to build trust and understanding before jumping to a bunch of conclusions about me and the people I know. Not cool.

Personal app for relationship mgt

A great app for an individual's use to create and manage relationship data (Tweets, email, Evernotes, etc) for my contacts with minimal data entry required by me! Unlike a corporate system that is the property of your employer and makes you do so much data entry, this app maintains your contact relationship data in the cloud across all devices and over your career across different employers - and it aims to deliver the value to you, not a boss or a corporation. Also, I love the EverNote integration because it makes it so easy to find any notes for a contact or company, and makes the notes available across all my devices - even my iPhone where I don't have EverNote installed. I use Cloze many times each day!


As a sales professional I have been looking for something to help with reminders from all the many means of communication that I have. Cloze puts it all in one place. Well done!
