Strap yourself down in the hot seat of a high performance aircraft and get ready for a true adrenaline rush. Clusterball Arcade is a fast paced action game played in third person. In Clusterball Arcade your objective is to collect balls from ramps and score them through ring shaped checkpoints.
Success is highly dependent on your skill to avoid obstacles and hazards that come rushing towards you. Grab power ups and time balls to get an extra advantage in order to complete the stages.
Play 10 gradually more demanding stages in real life locations such as Monument Valley, Halong Bay and Bering Strait. Flying fast and playing well will set you up nicely for the Final Stage, if you got the balls to reach it that is. Remember, in Clusterball Arcade time is not on your side.

Good start, but still in serious need of some fixes...
First off, the graphics and sense of speed are very well implemented, particularly the latter after the last update fixed some memory bugs. Now it pretty much runs smooth as silk. The visuals in this game are outstanding. I can see the developer using this same game engine with some tweaks for, say, a damned good on rail shooter, ala Star Fox. That said, this is mainly a collection racing game, not a flight game. That said, controls are much too tight in this game. As it stands, due to the too tight controls, one's best bet is to stay on a mostly linear path and never stray, which defeats the purpose of having all the other paths during the "race". Yes, one must master the brake timing in order to switch paths, get time/score extenders, etc., but it seems an awkward bit of game design. Even after getting used to the usage of the brake in order to faciliate switching paths and getting more lucrative points, one is still left with the fact that turning, being too tight as it is, with some response issues as well, just isn't really worth it. Revolution Interactive, read carefully: add an option for user controlled sensitivity tuning to this game. That way I could get the sensitivity of the motion controls to MY liking. I think other gamers would not only agree, but agree that this sort of option needs to be in every game on iTouch/Phone that uses the accelerometer as the control method.
Worth the money
I've been playing it for a day or 2 now, and i have to say the graphics are nice, they haven't choked on me at all. It is fun to play, not too easy or too hard. I believe the controls are ok, however i think people probably expect plane style controls, with roll and pitch and not just yaw and pitch. The vehicle seems to remain completely upright while turning left and right, which isn't really what a plane would do. Perhaps an option can be put into the game to change this if users want. Second there really should be a save game function. It's called Arcade yes, however saving your place and score wouldn't hurt. You go through each level and get as many points as you can, then save and come back later and continue. If you want higher points on the previous levels you can start over. I don't see any problem with that as far as global scoring goes. As always i don't think people know what is required to make a game like this, the price is VERY fair.
Is this a good spend of money?
Before I tell my response, I would go over the pros and cons.
Good thing is, it has good (not excellent) quality of graphics. The movement is smooth, the idea of the game is nice and it makes you sit down and play for hours. The global score is full of the best competitors because this game is pretty hard to get used to. And for right now, it's on sale.
The bad thing is, you can't save your process. It really doesn't matter with effecting the high scores because they are pretty darn high. The movement of the ship doesn't feel like normal ships and doesn't do special moves like barrel rolls :( Also, I get times when the ship suddenly locks up in a position. The camera still somewhat moves and I can pause, but the ship is moving at a straight position of angle and that's the only time I die.
Overall, I think it's a great game and is definatly a must have game. Just few bugs here and there, but not enough to go flaming it.
