Bad app gets even WORSE
This app has a great concept. But it's execution leaves much to be desired. Excessive repeats of commercials and video freezing while audio keeps playing are routine occurrences with this app. It ends up being a frustrating experience instead of entertaining or informative. There are many times I have just closed the app in disgust and walked away. I do hope they will get it together at some point because again it's a great idea. But the bugs in this app are really holding it back from greatness.
April 2015 update: Gets even worse. I now see the brightstar ad four times in a row over and over every single segment. I saw the exact same add over SIXTEEN TIMES before I gave up and walked away. The development of this app could not be more incompetent.
Previous March 2015 UPDATE: my two star review just went to a one. I would give ZERO STARS if I could because after logging in it says I am ready to watch, and then when I try to watch something it tells me to contact my cable provider. How about I delete your stupid crappy app instead? My bill is paid up. FIX THESE PROBLEMS,
Rating CNN on IPad
well, at the start I will let you know that I only watch CNN. We have had too many horrific stories for CNN'S reporters to cover but they always do it with professionalism and knowledge. People should understand that when a story is " breaking news"----that is exactly what it is!!!! Just started----so if some of the facts that come out @ first are inaccurate it is due to many reasons----eye witnesses, people with different versions of the same thing, etc. So, those of you out there that want everything "perfect"---- get a life.
I love Anderson Cooper. Drew griffin with his
investigative stories( yes, I have been following the VA story since he broke it), Ivan Watson, Nick Paton Walsh----well, I guess I lam very happy with all,of them!!!!
Too many ads
The ads are unbelievably annoying! Every time I want to view a video, the same darn ad keeps coming up...for a full 15 seconds! Geez! They hold you hostage until you can see the video. The only way around it is to turn the sound off, don't watch it, and count down the seconds until it's over. Why don't they have an ad-free version?!!! It turns me off to the product they're advertising too.
I love the app, most of the time. Sometimes they have a persistent ad that won't let you cancel it out, and it plays with EVERY video! Super annoying, to the point where I give up and go on to something else. They lose me then. The Dish Network ad with the stuffed kangaroo is especially annoying. We should be able to opt out if we don't want to hear another commercial!!
