Coastal SOS was developed by Naturedigger, LLC and includes a directory of coastal and ocean conservation organizations critical to the health and future of our coastal and ocean ecosystems.
Users of the app will learn what each organization highlighted in the app is doing to protect our most precious resource. Programs can easily be accessed through the main navigation page in the Conservation section. Profile pages outline these organizations' conservation work, research, education and volunteer/citizen science opportunities.
A Twitter feed of Coastal SOS participants can be found in the What's New? section, and is refreshed every time the app is opened. This resource keeps anyone interested in what's happening locally and globally to our oceans well-informed and always up to date on coastal and ocean news.
Coastal SOS also introduces users to invasive species and numerous other threats facing our coasts and oceans, and how many of our app participants' efforts are helping to reverse some of the damage caused by decades of neglect and exploitation.

Living in the Florida Keys and becoming a "citizen scientist" has really increased my love for and understanding of sea life ten fold. I find myself looking at this app everyday to see what's new and how I can help to preserve this beautiful ocean and reef. Thank you for brining this information!
