IT'S OUR CHRISTMAS TREAT!
FORGET THE BIG BILLS I'M IN LOVE WITH THE COINS!!
I must admit when I first saw this game on the day it came out I ignored it just thinking it was another one of those app to buy or collect useless coins for other IOS games but oh how I was so wrong. When I finally came across this game again I gave it another look and I'm so glad I did. Coin Drop has become one of my favorite games to play right now and has to the the best hidden gem in the entire app store right now. At 99 cents this game is a steal and looks great on the iPhone and iPod but is simply stunning on my iPad. There is so much going on with this game visually and the gameplay just never gets old. I'm really looking forward to future updates with this one because there is really so many great additions that can be made for this game to make it timeless and a true classic. The mix of the art style, the level of polish throughout the game, and the highly addictive gameplay turn Coin Drop into a must-have for players of all ages. It takes some elements from Peggle and adds a ton of new elements into the mix, turning it into a casual orgy of color and sweet highscore lust.
Everything an app should be, and more!
This game signifies what the app store means to me. When I see an app I hope to see a quirky, yet interesting thing that will soon grow into an addiction. However, the issue with the app store is that it is hard to rise the ranks, especially if you are a small name app developer who designs these games in your apartment in your spare time. What I'm getting at is that Coin Drop is a rare jem. There are the everyday apps, then there are the good apps that don't quite reach great and then there is the pure brilliance of the perfect apps, the cream of the crop. This is where Coin Drop lays. It has flawless addictive gameplay which is challenging but not frustratingly so, carries a perfect soundtrack that is warm and inviting; providing all the right noises in all the right places. And to finish it off, it has stunning graphics. I don't think I've seen anything quite like the graphical prowess that's on display here. Overall, you need this app! Trust me it won't be a waste of money
Love the game. Please add a way to step out to menu of levels
I find the game very addicting. Love to play it. But you need to add a better way to get back to the menu of worlds and levels than going out of the game and coming back in. Right now from where you are when you finish playing a level your only choices seem to be to replay that one or step forward or back one. I have several scenes/levels scattered throughout the whole game I'm still trying for 3 stars on and it's either go out and back in or start each level from where I am and put on pause then go forward or back, start that level, put on pause etc etc. Easier to go out of the game and back in, but annoying. Otherwise, Bravo!
updating my review on 10/6
You seem to have made a change which some may think an improvement, but is actually worse for my concern. When I quit the game and go back in, it takes me to where I left off.
Please, please YOU REALLY NEED TO add a menu item at the start screen for each scene that takes you back a level to the selection of worlds. It is a huge pain, even worse now, to get to another of the few scenes that I still haven't gotten the three stars on. Right now the only place that takes you to that level of selection is at the last scene of each world. Have to start each scene, put on pause, move forward one scene -- start that one, put on pause etc etc.
