Athlete inspired, coach designed, and expertly architected to help grow college sports; LemonAid is certified NCAA Compliant as a social sharing and messaging app that suggests best fits for the 360° college recruiting experience everyone deserves.
Athletes, coaches and fans can find tours and training in 360° VR, swipe through every college program, view your college rankings, all while browsing in depth profiles. Communication opens only when college and athlete independently swipe right on one another.
To increase the likelihood of a match, high school athletes create a free, secure profile to give college coaches a preview of the athlete's skills, accomplishments and achievements. Grab attention with performance video presented both in depth and in the swipe ‘deck’.
LemonAid does more than just recommend colleges; it suggests recruits to a college because no athlete should ever go overlooked. College coaches can tap to explore recommendations in depth, add filters to their swipe deck, and/or simply swipe right or left on personalized recommendations from LemonAid, club coaches and fans.
As the engine of youth and college sports, club and high school coaches can directly connect with their athlete’s approval/request, share video, and recommend colleges.
LemonAid even offers fans, friends, and family a chance to indirectly offer suggestions to recruits. These subtle recommendations happen by dragging and dropping an athlete’s profile onto a favorite college to highlight your enthusiasm.
How LemonAid works:
1. Potential matches are suggested based on social, academic, and athletic similarities. Athletes must enter at least one distinguishing feature (your GPA) as required by the NCAA.
2. Swipe right to favorite a recommendation; swipe left to pass.
3. Want to learn more? Simply tap an athlete or college profile to learn more before swiping.
4. Mutual athlete and college interest produces a recruiting match.
5. Oops…swiped left too fast? Hit the refresh button to bring ‘em back.
6. Missing out? Check out our college rankings for more context. Tap to learn more.
7. Fans, friends, family and club/high school coaches drag and drop favorites to create personalized recommendations for both athlete and college.
8. For expert verification, club/high school coaches can create, edit, and share video with their connected roster of athletes.
9. You can always find timely, relevant information on college sports from LemonAid, its partners, and any favorites on your personalized media page and/or with VR tours & training.
10. Grow college sports at every level by connecting with LemonAid and sharing with others.

Great concept, great execution
The lemonaid app helps high school swimming recruits connect with college coaches (and vice versa). Swimmers upload details about themselves (e.g. best events, best times, athletic and academic background, etc); the app suggests schools for them to contact, whether they're chatting about compatibility or potential scholarships.
Especially useful for athletes that could use help combing through the tons of potential colleges (Division I, II, III, etc). There's also an option for athletes to upload video of their stroke, albeit only by paying for the premium membership. Still, real useful tool for them to market themselves, particularly for swimmers who feel they don't immediately stand out with their times. Also a great way for coaches to reach out, start a dialogue.
Needs some polishing
The idea of the app is great, but it doesn't exactly make it easy for an athlete to figure out what school would be a good fit academically or athletically. The badges are nice to see on the colleges, but I don't know what my athletic score is (am I a 1 or a 3). Right now, I just guesstimate based on what I know about the school. I know I'm not fast enough for uc Berkeley, but a lot of these other schools, I'm not so sure of.
It also re-recommends schools that you've either already showed interest in (thus clogging the matches feed) or it'll re-recommend schools that's I've already rejected.
All in all, it's a cool app and I'm looking forward to seeing its potential since it's just a new app. Once colleges really get on board, this could really take off.
Gives you confidence to approach coaches while being easy to use
The application has a friendly layout that is clean and simple. From the start it walks you through setting up your profile with the necessary information. Would recommend to a friend looking to start recruiting.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
